To judge how it sits beside the series’ standout scores, compare specific listening touchpoints—such as ACE COMBAT 04’s “Megalith – Agnus Dei –,” ZERO’s “The Round Table,” and ACE COMBAT 7’s “Daredevil”—rather than treating “best” as an official ranking.
What is available from the ACE COMBAT 8 soundtrack?
The officially announced digital release is “ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE Main Theme – Everflow”, credited to Sara Parkman and PROJECT ACES. Bandai Namco Game Music announced a worldwide streaming release date of September 17, 2026. The announcement identifies a single, not a complete digital game-score album.

There is also a physical release: the official ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE – The Vinyl Collection is described as two white LPs with a selection of 15 tracks, a printed slipmat, and the “ACES at WAR A HISTORY 2029” artbook. The store states that 2,999 units are available worldwide and that the collection is exclusive to its official store. Its page showed waitlist status when accessed; check the store for current availability.
Those releases establish ways to hear the main theme and a selected set of music, not the scope or availability of a complete ACE COMBAT 8 score.

How to compare “Everflow” with earlier Ace Combat scores
“Best” depends on what you want from a game score: a memorable theme, mission tension, a strong vocal or orchestral centerpiece, or music that works well outside the game. Official catalogue and concert pages document releases and track names, but do not rank the series’ music. A useful comparison starts with tracks you can actually sample, while distinguishing original soundtrack releases from live concert arrangements, remixes, and remasters.
| Entry or release | Useful tracks to sample | What the release establishes |
|---|---|---|
| ACE COMBAT 2 | “Lightning Speed”; “Warning Line” | Both are represented on the 25th anniversary concert recording; these are live concert performances, not a claim about how the original game recording sounds. Official label catalogue |
| ACE COMBAT 04: SHATTERED SKIES | “Blockade”; “Stonehenge + Invincible Fleet”; “Megalith – Agnus Dei –”; “Blue Skies” | These selections appear on the 25th anniversary concert recording. Official label catalogue |
| ACE COMBAT 5: THE UNSUNG WAR | “First Flight”; “The Unsung War”; “The Journey Home” | These selections appear on the 25th anniversary concert recording. Official label catalogue |
| ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR | “The Round Table”; “Morgan + ZERO”; “GALM 2”; “EPILOGUE – NEAR THE BORDER –” | The concert recording includes the first two. The 2026 remastered soundtrack has 45 tracks; the label says “GALM 2” and “EPILOGUE – NEAR THE BORDER –” had not previously been available on digital streaming platforms. Official label catalogue |
| ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN | “Magic Spear I”; “Enchanter I”; “Daredevil” | These selections appear on the 25th anniversary concert recording. Official label catalogue |
Use these as listening waypoints, not an objective shortlist. The tracklists alone do not establish instrumentation, story placement, or a shared musical style; those judgments are best made by listening to the original game releases alongside the arrangements where available.
Rank #2
What the anniversary releases add
The 25th anniversary album is a live concert recording conducted by Keiki Kobayashi, whom the official page identifies as the series’ main composer. It includes material from ACE COMBAT 2, 04, 5, ZERO, 6, and 7. That makes it a convenient series-spanning sampler, but its concert performances should not be mistaken for original in-game recordings.
Bandai Namco Game Music’s 2026 release announcement describes the ZERO remastered soundtrack as 45 tracks and the 30th anniversary concert album as 20 tracks. These serve different listening purposes: the remaster is a substantial way to explore ZERO’s soundtrack, while the 20-track concert release presents live performances. Neither release turns a fan preference into an official series ranking.
Rank #3
Other catalogue options include streaming or download releases for ACE COMBAT 2, ACE COMBAT 3 electrosphere, ACE COMBAT 5, ZERO, 6, Joint Assault, and ACE COMBAT 7, as well as a series remix album and anniversary concert recordings. Availability depends on the music service and region. The publisher also described an ACE COMBAT Original Soundtrack, available from July 1, 2025, as a 19-track selection from across the series; it is a curated sampler rather than a complete series collection.

There is no official ranking that settles the question. A more useful answer is to choose by listening criterion: use the concert album to compare representative material across eras, then listen to the original releases for the game-specific presentation. For a focused ACE COMBAT 8 comparison, start with “Everflow” and set it beside one or two earlier tracks that matter most to you—such as the ACE COMBAT 04 selections, ZERO’s “The Round Table,” or ACE COMBAT 7’s “Daredevil.” Treat any verdict as an editorial or personal judgment, not a documented consensus.
