In ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE, you can earn aircraft skins through the free Ace Pass, get additional skins from the Premium Ace Pass, and receive certain skins with the Deluxe Edition. Ace Pass progress comes from XP earned by completing ACE COMBAT ONLINE missions. The exact pass level for every individual skin is not listed in Bandai Namco’s Season One announcement, so check the in-game reward track for an item’s current requirement.
How to unlock skins through the Ace Pass
Both Ace Pass tracks progress as you earn XP by completing ACE COMBAT ONLINE missions. The free track includes skins; the Premium track adds further rewards. Pass rewards and availability are seasonal, so the current in-game track is the place to confirm an individual skin’s level requirement.

Free Ace Pass
Play online missions to earn XP and advance the free seasonal track. Bandai Namco lists 12 aircraft skins on the Season One free track, though some levels award no item. You do not need the Premium pass to pursue those free-track skins.
Premium Ace Pass
The Season One Premium track offers 13 additional aircraft skins. Redeeming a Season One Premium Ace Pass or Premium Ace Pass Plus also unlocks the ADFX-02 Morgan–PIXY and its special skin collection. Premium Ace Pass Plus advances your pass by 30 levels immediately; those levels apply to progression, not as a guarantee that a particular skin is at a specific level.

Which skins come with the Deluxe Edition?
The Deluxe Edition includes the F-4E “MOBIUS SQUADRON” skin and the F/A-18C “TEAM ZVEZDA” skin. The publisher says both can be used online, and become available in Campaign Mode after you complete all campaign missions. The edition also includes a Tasha Costume Set and Scarlet missile smoke customization, which are online-only.
Can online aircraft progression unlock skins?
Aircraft gain levels as they survive sorties, and online customization lets players choose a skin, emblem, and weathering. The official online overview describes rank and mission rewards, but does not establish one universal aircraft level or rank requirement for every skin. Treat aircraft progression as a customization and reward route, not a published level-by-level skin list.

When do seasonal skins become available?
Bandai Namco says each season lasts two months and rewards change between seasons. Its October 1, 2026 Season One announcement advises redeeming the Season One pass before that season ends in November 2026 to obtain the ADFX-02 Morgan–PIXY reward. That timing is specific to Season One; check the live game for current season dates and rewards.

The publisher also says Premium Ace Pass aircraft DLC is planned to become separately purchasable after its season; confirm whether a particular item is currently available before relying on that route.

Where to verify a specific skin’s requirement
- Open the current Ace Pass reward track in-game and locate the aircraft skin you want.
- Check its displayed track and level requirement, and whether the relevant season is still active.
- If it is an edition skin, check the edition contents and any mode restriction; for the two Deluxe aircraft skins, Campaign Mode availability follows completion of all campaign missions.
Bandai Namco’s public Season One announcement counts the skins by track but does not provide a text list matching every skin to an exact level. Avoid assuming a skin’s level or alternate unlock condition from another item’s requirements.
