To accept donations, enable the online store, configure an available payment method, create a donation-type product, choose preset amounts or a custom amount, and add the product to a visible section of your site. Saving the product alone does not make it visible to visitors.
Set up the store and payment method
In manual mode, add a store from the builder’s Online store panel and enter the store title, country, and currency. An active eCommerce subscription is required for store management and payment acceptance in manual mode.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Open the store management area and go to Settings → Payments.
- Choose an online or manual/offline payment method that is offered for your store.
- Complete the provider’s setup before inviting donors to pay.
Available payment methods depend on the store’s country and currency, as well as the customer’s location. Stripe is among the online providers; charity guidance also discusses PayPal and manual payments. Check your own payment settings rather than assuming every option is available.

Create a donation product
- In store management, open Products and select Add product.
- Choose the donation product type.
- Enter a clear title and, if useful, add a description, image, ribbon, or additional information explaining the purpose of the donation.
- Configure the amount choices, then save the product.
Choose preset amounts, a custom amount, or both
Suggested amounts let donors select from preset values. A custom amount lets donors enter what they want to give; it requires a minimum and can also have a maximum. You can enable either option or offer both. The builder’s instructions do not establish a universal numeric minimum, so set the amount limits shown in your store rather than relying on a figure from older guidance.

Put the donation option on the site
Creating and saving the product creates its product page, but does not automatically feature it on the site. In manual mode, add a product section that displays the donation product, then update the website so visitors can find it. Review the published page to make sure the product and payment route are visible and usable.
Use chat in agentic mode
In agentic mode, you can ask the builder’s chat to create the donation product. Describe the product and the amount choices you want—preset values, custom entry, or both—then use chat to request any changes. Verify the resulting product’s settings and make sure it is displayed on the site; the payment method still needs to be configured for your store.
