A small JSON wrapper can make text-to-3D prompts easier to save, review, and adapt by keeping the creative brief alongside the generation settings you used. It cannot make different services understand the same fields or guarantee identical models from one run to the next. The practical approach is to keep portable asset intent separate from provider-specific controls.
What the schema is—and what it is not
Treat this schema as a reusable record for one 3D asset, not as a universal standard or a replacement for a generation API’s request format. Its purpose is to make the prompt and relevant settings explicit: what you want made, which implementation you used, and what output format you requested or received.

That separation matters because provider interfaces differ. Tripo’s developer documentation describes model/version and generation controls, while a hosted Tripo P2 endpoint documents additional fields such as a negative prompt and seeds. Sloyd documents separate text- and image-generation endpoints. These are examples of service-specific contracts, not evidence that every generator accepts the same keys: Tripo developer docs, fal Tripo P2 API docs, and Sloyd API docs.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsA compact schema you can adapt
The following is a design proposal for organizing a prompt record; it is not a schema published or endorsed by the cited providers.

asset: the portable creative brief
Describe the object and its distinguishing features in plain language. Materials, style, pose or view, and things to avoid help preserve intent when you revise the prompt or move it to another service. A provider may not offer a dedicated field for every item: for example, avoid might need to be folded into the natural-language prompt if no negative-prompt parameter is supported.
generation: settings tied to an implementation
Record the provider, model or version, and any supported controls you actually use. The example includes seed, texture, PBR, and face-limit fields because such controls appear in the cited Tripo documentation; their accepted names, ranges, and availability depend on the selected API. Leave an unavailable value unset or omit it in the provider request rather than assuming the service recognizes it.

output: the requested or produced file
Keep output format distinct from prompt input. A prompt describes the intended asset; an output setting describes how the generated asset is delivered or stored. GLB is one possible format: the Khronos Group’s glTF 2.0 Specification says, “Alternatively, an asset could use the GLB container to store JSON and binary data in one file without base64 encoding.” This describes an asset container, not a text-to-3D prompt schema.

How to use the wrapper without sending invalid requests
- Write the asset brief first. Keep the subject and its defining details understandable without relying on any API-specific field names.
- Choose a provider and model. Check that service’s current request documentation and record its model or version identifier where available.
- Map only supported controls. Use a provider adapter to translate the portable brief and validate optional settings. Do not blindly pass every key in the wrapper through to the service.
- Record the output format separately. Confirm the format the endpoint can return or export; do not assume that writing
"format": "glb"makes an unsupported API produce GLB. - Save the request and result together. Keep the wrapper, any translated request, and the resulting asset associated so you can understand what settings were used later.
For robust JSON handling, use unique property names and preserve numeric values through serialization. Those are data-quality recommendations in the glTF specification, which concerns glTF assets rather than a prompt-schema standard.

What repeatability means in practice
A wrapper makes a generation attempt more reproducible as a record: you can retain the brief and the settings that were exposed and try to reuse them. If a provider documents seeds, model versions, or other generation controls, recording them can help support that workflow. It does not establish that reruns will produce identical geometry or textures, and the wrapper cannot impose deterministic behavior on a service that does not promise it.
No quantified repeatability improvement is established for this proposed schema. Treat it as an organizational aid, not a performance claim.

Compare services by their documented contracts
When choosing an implementation, compare what each service explicitly accepts and returns, rather than inferring quality or speed from a list of API fields.
- Prompt contract: Check prompt limits, negative-prompt support, and whether the endpoint is intended to describe one asset or a broader scene.
- Repeatability controls: Look for model/version identifiers and geometry, image, or texture seeds. Check whether the documentation makes any determinism promise.
- Geometry and texture controls: Verify available face limits, geometry or topology options, texture enablement, PBR settings, and quality controls.
- Output and workflow: Confirm supported exports and where the resulting model can be used. Meshy’s official API documentation lists GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, USDZ, and 3MF among its formats.
- Portability: Identify which parts of your asset brief map directly and which need provider-specific conversion.
Field lists alone do not establish comparative output quality, generation speed, or price. Those require separate evidence.
