How to choose between them
Choose CyberGhost if activity-specific servers matter
CyberGhost’s plan information highlights servers optimized for streaming, P2P, and gaming. That can make the service a natural candidate if you want activity-oriented server choices presented in the app. It does not establish that CyberGhost will work better for a particular streaming service, game, or location: availability and performance can vary.
Choose NordVPN if you want its specialty privacy routes
NordVPN documents Double VPN, which sends traffic through two VPN servers, and Onion Over VPN, which combines VPN encryption with Tor. These are distinct routing options rather than guarantees of anonymity or protection from every threat. Consult NordVPN’s platform-specific feature information before subscribing; availability can depend on device and plan. NordVPN feature details

Count devices in your household
CyberGhost lists seven simultaneous connections; NordVPN Support says one subscription can be used on up to ten devices. If you routinely connect more than seven devices at once, NordVPN’s stated ceiling is higher. Count simultaneous use, not simply the number of devices you own, and verify current limits with each provider.
Privacy, security, and audit evidence
Both services describe VPN apps that route traffic through an encrypted tunnel. A VPN can protect traffic between your device and the VPN service, but it does not make you anonymous online or replace protections against malware, phishing, account compromise, or tracking through logged-in services.

NordVPN’s published no-logs review history
NordVPN says PwC Switzerland reviewed its no-logs practices in 2018 and 2020, followed by Deloitte reviews including 2023, 2024, and 2025. That is NordVPN’s published account of its audit history; a review speaks to its scope and period, not future conduct. NordVPN’s no-logs audit information

Streaming, speed, and real-world performance
There is no dependable universal streaming or speed winner in the available evidence. Security.org’s CyberGhost-versus-NordVPN comparison, last updated August 6, 2026, describes hands-on testing and notes that speed can depend on factors such as server location. Its results belong to that publication’s test conditions; they are not a prediction for every connection, country, device, or time. Security.org’s comparison
TechRadar’s 2026 CyberGhost review and Tom’s Guide’s 2026 NordVPN review report their own tests, not guarantees. Any speed or streaming result should be read with that outlet’s method, date, locations, protocol, and metric in view. The evidence here does not provide one matched set of test conditions that can fairly settle performance for all readers. TechRadar’s CyberGhost review · Tom’s Guide’s NordVPN review

For your own decision, check whether the service supports the devices and streaming apps you actually use, then consider a current trial or refund period only after reading its eligibility rules. Access to a streaming catalog can also depend on the platform’s own terms and location policies.

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
Router configuration is optional: you can use the regular apps without buying a VPN-compatible router. Manual setup depends on compatible hardware and configuration instructions, and the reviewed sources do not establish a universally compatible router model.
Refunds and renewal prices: check the total commitment
CyberGhost states a 14-day refund guarantee for one-month plans and 45 days for offers of six months or longer. It says purchases through Apple, Google Play, or Amazon app stores are handled under the relevant store’s refund process. Read the applicable terms before paying, especially if you subscribe through an app store. CyberGhost plan and refund terms
CyberGhost also says longer-term offers use an introductory rate and renew at a standard price, with exact renewal terms shown at checkout. A low first-term advertised rate is not the same as the recurring cost. Compare the full renewal amount, renewal interval, taxes, and cancellation deadline displayed for your region. The cited sources do not establish directly comparable current full-term prices for both providers, so a categorical cheaper-service claim would be unreliable.

Which one should you pick?
- Consider CyberGhost if its activity-optimized server categories align with your use, seven simultaneous devices are enough, and the checkout terms suit your budget.
- Consider NordVPN if the higher stated device ceiling or its documented Double VPN and Onion Over VPN options are priorities.
- Compare both directly if your deciding factors are current price, a specific streaming service, or speed from your location; those depend on time, plan, network, and test conditions.
Neither feature list settles which service is better for your particular connection or risk model. Use current provider terms for purchase decisions and treat review tests as dated, condition-specific evidence.
