Star Wars: Galactic Racer supports online multiplayer, but split-screen play has not been confirmed in the official details available. Xbox lists online matches for 2–12 players and cross-platform multiplayer; Steam also lists online PvP and cross-platform multiplayer.
Is split-screen or local multiplayer confirmed?
Not in the official details located. The Xbox and Steam listings describe online multiplayer features, but do not establish whether multiple players can race locally on one console or screen. That omission is not proof that split-screen is unavailable; treat couch play as unconfirmed unless an updated official listing or developer announcement says otherwise.

- Cross-platform multiplayer: Xbox and Steam both list cross-platform multiplayer. The specific platform combinations supported for cross-play are not stated in those listings, so confirm compatibility if you and your friends plan to play on different systems.
Which platforms and release date are announced?
The announced platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a planned release date of October 6, 2026, according to StarWars.com’s April 30, 2026 announcement. The Xbox and Steam pages advertise cross-platform multiplayer, but that does not by itself specify every supported cross-play pairing.
Do you need a subscription to play online?
Store listings state platform-specific online-play requirements: the PlayStation Store says PS Plus is required, while Xbox says online console multiplayer requires Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate. Check the relevant store page before buying, since subscription terms can change.
