At CaptureKit’s listed monthly prices, 1,000 successful screenshot calls cost $7 on Starter if all 1,000 credits are used for screenshots. At full screenshot-only quota use, the plan arithmetic falls to $2.90 per 1,000 on Pro and $1.78 on Ultimate. Those are derived rates—not separate pay-as-you-go prices—and the effective cost rises if credits go unused or go to other billable endpoints.
CaptureKit’s cost per 1,000 screenshots
CaptureKit documents the screenshot endpoint at one credit per call. Its published monthly plans list 1,000 credits for Starter at $7, 10,000 for Pro at $29, and 50,000 for Ultimate at $89. Dividing each plan price by its full quota, assuming every credit pays for a successful screenshot call, gives these rates:
| Plan | Listed monthly price | Monthly credits | Derived cost per 1,000 calls at full screenshot-only use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $7 | 1,000 | $7.00 |
| Pro | $29 | 10,000 | $2.90 |
| Ultimate | $89 | 50,000 | $1.78 |
These are plan-price calculations, not a published standalone rate for each screenshot. CaptureKit also lists a Free plan with 100 credits, which is not enough for 1,000 monthly calls. Prices and plan terms can change; check the official pricing page and the live checkout amount before buying. CaptureKit advertises a 10% saving for annual billing, so confirm the billing period when comparing prices.
Why the effective rate can differ
Credits are shared across workspace activity
The plan quota applies workspace-wide across API keys, and billable endpoints can also draw on credits. If another key or endpoint uses part of the allowance, fewer credits remain for screenshots. Likewise, unused credits make the effective cost per completed screenshot higher than the full-quota calculation.

Successful calls, failures, and asynchronous jobs
CaptureKit’s documentation says successful synchronous requests are charged and failed jobs are not. For asynchronous captures, an accepted 202 job is not billed at acceptance; billing occurs on successful completion, and polling job status is free. A screenshot call is documented as one credit. See the provider’s capture endpoint documentation and credits documentation for billing details.
Top-ups are separate from included monthly quota
The billing documentation also describes one-time credit packs and separate credit balances. Do not treat supplemental purchases as if they were included in the recurring plan quota; check your workspace’s applicable balance and terms when estimating spend.

How to read CaptureKit’s $5.80 calculator example
CaptureKit’s calculator displays $5.80 per 1,000 for a scenario of 5,000 screenshots on Pro at $29 per month. That is the arithmetic for that specific volume: $29 divided by 5,000 and multiplied by 1,000. It uses half of Pro’s listed 10,000-credit quota, so it is not Pro’s full-quota unit cost of $2.90 per 1,000. The example is shown on CaptureKit’s pricing calculator.
Estimate your own monthly screenshot cost
- Count the calls you expect to succeed. CaptureKit describes its service as an HTTP API for use from a backend, automation platform, or AI agent; a screenshot call costs one credit.
- Choose a plan with enough credits. Compare expected usage against the listed monthly quota, not just the plan name.
- Subtract other workspace usage. Include billable endpoints and activity from other API keys in the shared workspace.
- Divide the applicable monthly spend by successful screenshot calls, then multiply by 1,000. For example, the $29 Pro price at 5,000 screenshots yields $5.80 per 1,000; at 10,000 screenshots devoted entirely to successful captures, it yields $2.90.
- Check billing and supplemental credits. Confirm monthly versus annual pricing and whether any one-time credit pack is part of your estimate.
For a fair comparison with another service, use the same monthly screenshot volume and required output formats, and check each provider’s credit rules, failure billing, async behavior, limits, and top-up terms. CaptureKit’s own comparison article names ScreenshotOne and ScreenshotAPI as alternatives, but it is vendor-written and does not independently establish current competitor prices: CaptureKit’s comparison.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request returns a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF; the endpoint and options are documented at ScreenshotNeo’s API docs.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie/consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each of those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and each response identifies the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server gives AI agents tools for screenshots, page information, and PDFs. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.
