Which attachment should you use?
- For directed airflow or a smoother style: Choose the styling concentrator.
- For brush styling, smoothing, or added volume: Try the oval brush.
- To dry curls: Use the curl-defining diffuser and adjust its prongs to suit your hair.
- To make curls: Use the auto-wrap curlers; the two curlers in the HD430 kit are intended for opposite curling directions.
How to adjust the diffuser prongs
Shark recommends changing the prong position according to hair length and thickness:
- Retract the prongs for shorter, finer hair and to use less heat on the scalp.
- Extend the prongs for longer, thicker hair, or to reach and lift hair at the root.

FlexStyle bundle contents vary. Shark’s US HD430 listing names two auto-wrap curlers, an oval brush, a paddle brush, and a styling concentrator. Its HD435 diffuser kit lists auto-wrap curlers, an oval brush, a curl-defining diffuser, and a styling concentrator. Neither bundle should be treated as the standard contents for every FlexStyle.
