The gamAI Skills repository is a free GitHub library of agent workflow folders that its maintainer says contains 992 skills and is published under the MIT license. It includes workflows for coding, AI agents, marketing, data, DevOps and other fields, with installation instructions for Claude Code and manual copying into supported skill directories. The count, “production-ready” label and compatibility claims are maintainer statements, not results of an independent audit or cross-version testing.
What the gamAI Skills collection is
The collection is a set of digital files, not a standalone application or physical product. The repository describes 992 “production-ready” Agent Skills for Claude Code, Cursor, opencode and other tools that use the Agent Skills format. The maintainer’s September 24, 2026 announcement also gives the count as 992 and says the library was published on GitHub under MIT. Neither source is an independent verification of the number of files or their quality. The repository README and the maintainer’s announcement are the primary references for those claims.

How an Agent Skill is structured
Under the Agent Skills format specification, a skill is a directory containing at least a SKILL.md file. That file has YAML frontmatter followed by Markdown instructions; the required metadata fields are name and description, while license and compatibility are optional. Directories can also contain scripts, reference material and assets.
The format uses progressive disclosure: a host can load a skill’s metadata first, its instructions when the skill is activated, and supporting files as they are needed. This describes the format, not a guarantee that every host implements every feature identically. The specification labels allowed-tools experimental and notes that support may vary between implementations.

What kinds of workflows are included
The README groups examples across a wide range of domains. Its named examples are illustrations supplied by the repository, not independently evaluated tools or measured performance claims.
- AI and agents: orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, MCP and evaluations.
- Software development: code review, testing, refactoring, APIs and Git workflows.
- Web and design: workflows for web projects and design tasks.
- Marketing and sales: SEO audits, cold email and pricing workflows.
- Data, DevOps and cloud: workflows for data tasks, infrastructure and operations.
- Other fields: HR, legal, business and finance, security, health, media and education.
Specific examples named by the repository include task-dag, self-healing-services, report-with-images, invoice workflows, contract review, full-output-enforcement and verification-before-completion. Check the individual skill’s instructions and supporting files to determine what it actually does and what access it expects.

How to install the skills
The repository documents two routes. Its Claude Code marketplace command is /plugin marketplace add renatoschust-dot/gamai-skills. For manual installation, it says to copy selected folders from skills/ into .claude/skills/ for Claude Code, or into the relevant skills directory for opencode, Cursor, Windsurf or another Agent Skills host.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems- Choose a skill: browse the repository’s
skills/directory and select a workflow relevant to your task. - Inspect the folder: read its
SKILL.md, metadata and any included scripts, references or assets before enabling it. - Use the route documented for your host: for Claude Code, the repository lists the marketplace command above; for manual setup, copy the chosen skill folder to the host’s applicable skills directory.
- Check that the host recognizes it: follow the current installation instructions for your particular host and release. The repository does not provide a version-by-version compatibility matrix.
Because skill-directory conventions and feature support can vary by host and version, do not assume that a folder-copy instruction works unchanged in every release. Consult the host’s current documentation if the skill is not detected or behaves differently than expected.

What to check before enabling a skill
The repository says it is MIT-licensed and links a license file. Read that file for the applicable terms, and assess any third-party materials or dependencies separately. A repository-level license statement does not establish that every individual item has been independently checked for provenance, safety, compatibility or quality.
- Instructions and scope: make sure the skill’s purpose, expected inputs and instructions match the task you intend to delegate.
- Scripts and dependencies: inspect executable files and note any external packages, services or setup requirements before running them.
- Permissions: look for requests to read, write or execute beyond what the task requires. The format’s
allowed-toolsfield is experimental, so its presence or absence is not a universal guarantee of enforcement. - Host compatibility: confirm that your client supports the skill format and any features the skill relies on; the collection’s README does not enumerate tested client versions.
- License and provenance: check the linked license and review included third-party content or dependencies on their own terms.
How to judge the collection for your use
A large stated count is useful for discovery, but does not by itself show that a particular skill is maintained, safe or suitable. Start with the task you need to solve, then evaluate the individual folder and its fit with your host. For a comparison with another library, useful evidence includes the scope of its skills, client and version documentation, installation and update process, included scripts and dependencies, license and provenance transparency, and published testing evidence. The available repository materials do not establish a comparative ranking or independently verified quality level for this collection.
