Run these seven checks on the exact build you plan to submit: cold launch, main action, reviewer login, support and privacy links, privacy consistency, unfinished content, and device stability with reviewer notes. Each targets a problem Apple names as a common cause of rejection or delay. Apple reports that, on average, over 40% of unresolved issues relate to Guideline 2.1: App Completeness, which covers crashes, placeholder content and incomplete information.
Two caveats. The “two minutes” is our timebox, not an Apple standard, and passing all seven does not guarantee approval. Also, Apple’s published guidance shows no special treatment for apps generated with Lovable, Bolt, v0 or Replit. The same rules apply however the code was produced.

Test 1: Cold launch and first screen
Force-quit the candidate build, then open it fresh. You should land on a real, finished screen, not a crash, a blank view or a placeholder. Apple says submissions should be complete and ready to publish, and it lists crashes, bugs and placeholder content among common issues (Apple App Review).

Generated web-style apps often fail here for a simple reason: they work in a preview but depend on a dev server, an environment variable or a local URL that does not exist in the shipped build.

Test 2: The main promised action
Take the one thing your app claims to do, and do it once from its natural entry point to a visible result. Apple says an app must perform as advertised, so compare the result with your description and screenshots. This catches obvious broken paths, not every defect.
Test 3: Reviewer access
If the app needs sign-in, log in using the exact demo credentials you entered in App Review Information, not your own account. Confirm the backend is live and that any special setup steps are written in the notes. Apple says missing access or information can delay review or lead to failure (App Review; App Review Guidelines, UK page).

- Check the demo account has not expired and has sample data, so screens are not empty.
- If sign-up sends a verification email or code, make sure a reviewer can get through it.
Test 4: Support and privacy links
Tap the support link and the privacy-policy link inside the app, and also check the URLs in your App Store listing. Both must open, and the support contact must be current. Apple says all app links must work and requires a current support link and privacy policy (Apple App Review).

Look at every place the app asks for or collects data (sign-up, analytics, AI features, permissions) and compare it with your privacy policy and your App Store privacy answers. Apple says the policy should cover:
- what data is collected and how;
- how it is used;
- protections for any third-party sharing;
- retention and deletion;
- how users can revoke consent or request deletion.
Builder-generated apps often include third-party SDKs, backends or AI APIs added by a template, so confirm the policy mentions them.
Test 6: No unfinished material, and the right build
Scroll through every reachable screen looking for dummy filler text, empty pages, stock or unfinished graphics, and temporary content. Apple warns placeholder content is not ready for distribution. Then, in App Store Connect, confirm required metadata is complete and the build selected for the submission is the one you intend to ship; the Submit an app workflow requires both before you add the item for review and submit it. Test 7: Device stability and reviewer notes
Run the core flow on a real device on current software and watch for crashes or obvious technical faults. Apple’s wording: “Make sure to thoroughly test on devices running the latest software and fix all bugs before submitting.” If a feature needs special configuration or hardware, say so in the review notes, and add a demo video or hardware where appropriate (Guidelines).

A quick local run on your own device is the fastest way to do these tests. TestFlight distributes a beta to internal or external testers and collects feedback, including screenshots and crash details. Builds can be tested for up to 90 days, and external distribution may require review, with the first build sent to a group reviewed for TestFlight. Check current limits in App Store Connect. Neither route proves App Review acceptance.
What these tests do not cover
They are screening checks. They do not replace testing across all supported devices, accessibility, purchases, region-specific behavior or edge cases. Apple also reports that 90% of submissions are reviewed in less than 24 hours on average, but that is an average, not a promise for your submission, so a failed basic check can cost you a full round trip.
