The other models below serve different needs, from hook-mounted M18 lighting to a PACKOUT-compatible light and a high-output, cord-capable area light. Choose by your battery platform, where you can mount the light, and whether you need a focused work light or wider coverage.
How to choose a Milwaukee light for home mechanics
Start with the battery system you already own, then match the light’s mounting options and coverage to the job. A magnet or handheld base can help position light near a repair; a hook or adjustable panels may suit a different workspace. Lumens and runtime figures below are Milwaukee’s stated specifications, not independent measurements or a controlled comparison.

- Battery platform: M12 and M18 lights use different battery systems. Check what batteries and chargers you already have and what a retailer’s package includes.
- Mounting and direction: Consider whether you need a magnet, hook, folding body, adjustable head, or PACKOUT compatibility.
- Coverage: A compact light can be convenient close to a repair, while a larger multi-panel light is designed for broader flood and area lighting.
- Runtime conditions: Treat runtime as conditional on the stated battery and mode, not as a universal duration.
Six Milwaukee lighting solutions to consider
1. M12 ROVER Service and Repair Flood Light with USB Charging (2367-20)
This is the strongest direct match for close repair work. Milwaukee describes the 2367-20 as a service-and-repair light and lists 700 lumens, a 120-degree pivoting head, a rear magnet, and a handheld base. Those features make it a practical option when you need to reposition light near a vehicle or bench; that use case follows from the listed design, rather than an independent test. Milwaukee rates it for up to 24 hours with an M12 XC4.0 battery, so do not apply that figure to other batteries or assume it holds across all modes. The product announcement says batteries are sold separately. Milwaukee’s 2367-20 product page and product announcement provide the manufacturer’s specifications.

Its controls cycle through high, low, and off. Milwaukee warns: “Do not stare at the operating light source.” See the 2367-20 operator’s manual for use and safety details.

2. M18 ROVER Compact Folding Flood Light (2359-20)
For an M18 owner who wants a folding design and a hook-based mounting option, this model offers a different setup. Milwaukee lists 1,000 lumens on high and up to 12 hours on high with an M18 XC5.0 battery; lower-output modes extend the stated runtime. Its head moves horizontally and vertically, and the light includes a rafter hook plus USB-A and USB-C ports. See Milwaukee’s 2359-20 product page for the listed details.
3. M12 ROVER Multi-Directional Flood Light with PACKOUT Compatibility (2350-20)
This M12 option is worth considering if PACKOUT compatibility and flexible mounting matter more than the 2367-20’s service-and-repair positioning. Milwaukee lists multiple mounting options, adjustable head movement, and up to 1,200 lumens. Its stated runtime is up to 16 hours with an M12 XC4.0 battery. The figure is manufacturer-rated under that battery condition, not a promise for every use. See Milwaukee’s 2350-20 product page.

4. M18 ROVER Dual Power Triple-Panel Flood and Area Light (2368-20)
Choose this format when broader area coverage and power flexibility are more important than a compact close-work form. Milwaukee lists 4,500 lumens and three hours on high with an M18 XC5.0 battery. It can run from an M18 battery or a 120V extension cord. Milwaukee’s specifications distinguish this triple-panel flood-and-area light from the smaller service lights; they do not establish how it performs in a particular garage. See Milwaukee’s 2368-20 product page.
5. Another M12 light for an existing M12 setup
If you are comparing compact M12 choices, the 2367-20 and 2350-20 address different priorities: service-and-repair positioning versus PACKOUT compatibility and multiple mounting options. Compare the physical format and mounting approach against where you can place a light during your usual work, rather than choosing on peak lumens alone. Milwaukee’s product pages are the source for their respective specifications: 2367-20 and 2350-20.

6. An M18 choice for different workspace needs
Among the M18 examples here, the 2359-20 is a folding flood light with a rafter hook and USB ports, while the 2368-20 is a triple-panel light that also runs from a 120V extension cord. The first is the more compact, hook-oriented option; the second is specified for higher-output flood and area use. If you already have M18 batteries, select between those formats based on mounting and coverage, not an assumption that their runtimes are directly comparable across different modes and batteries. See Milwaukee’s pages for the 2359-20 and 2368-20.
