Six platforms have enough current product documentation for a useful 2026 shortlist: SAP Ariba Spend Analysis and Insights, Sievo Spend Analytics, SpendHQ Spend Intelligence, Ivalua Spend Analysis, JAGGAER One Spend Analytics and Zycus Spend Analysis. The available evidence does not support ranking these six—or naming ten as the “best.” It supports comparing their stated capabilities and checking fit against your systems, data and procurement workflows.
What spend analytics does—and what makes it useful
Spend analytics brings purchasing information from multiple systems into a categorized view that procurement and finance teams can use to examine suppliers, categories, compliance and potential savings. Its value depends less on the number of charts than on whether teams can trust the underlying data and trace a finding back to its transactions. SAP Learning’s overview of spend analysis provides additional context on the discipline.

A practical evaluation should look at the full path from source data to action: ingestion, cleansing and enrichment, classification, taxonomy governance, drill-down, reporting and the workflow used to pursue an opportunity. A platform that produces a promising category estimate but cannot show which transactions drove it may be less useful than one with stronger traceability and a workable route into sourcing or supplier management.
Dedicated analytics or analytics inside a source-to-pay suite?
A dedicated spend analytics product focuses on consolidating and analyzing spend data, potentially across several procurement and finance systems. Analytics within a broader source-to-pay suite sits alongside functions such as sourcing, contracts, supplier management or procure-to-pay. The distinction matters when deciding whether to add a focused analytics layer to an existing environment or consolidate more procurement work in one suite.
#1 Best Overall
Gartner’s January 26, 2026 Critical Capabilities for Source-to-Pay Suites abstract names a range of providers in that suite-evaluation landscape. That scope is not proof that each provider offers equivalent standalone spend analytics, nor does the abstract establish a ranking of analytics products. Confirm any candidate’s specific analytics capabilities in its current official documentation.
Six platforms with documented spend analytics capabilities
The descriptions below summarize what each vendor says its product does; they are not independent feature tests. The available documentation covers six candidates in enough detail for comparison, not a defensible ten-product ranking.
| Platform | Documented emphasis | Connection to action |
|---|---|---|
| SAP Ariba Spend Analysis and Insights | Data from SAP and non-SAP sources; automated classification using UNSPSC v25 or a custom taxonomy | Recommendations and connections to procurement workflows |
| Sievo Spend Analytics | Extraction, cleansing, translation, enrichment, classification and transaction-level traceability | Guided or automated actions |
| SpendHQ Spend Intelligence | Spend visibility, custom sourcing taxonomies, supplier and compliance analysis, and AI-generated insights | Integrations with existing procurement software |
| Ivalua Spend Analysis | Aggregation and normalization of ERP, AP, P-card, travel and external data | Identified opportunities can connect to sourcing and procurement workflows |
| JAGGAER One Spend Analytics | Multi-source aggregation, cleansing, classification, dashboards and savings tracking | Connections to sourcing, contracts and procure-to-pay within JAGGAER One |
| Zycus Spend Analysis | Machine-learning classification and a shared data layer connecting spend with supplier, contract and risk information | Shared supplier, contract and risk context |
SAP Ariba Spend Analysis and Insights
SAP announced the solution as available on September 16, 2026. Its launch announcement describes combining data from SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, SAP Cloud ERP, non-SAP systems and external providers. SAP says classification can map to UNSPSC v25 or a custom taxonomy, and describes analytics for savings, risk, compliance, ESG and productivity. The same announcement reports 95% classification accuracy; that is SAP’s stated figure, not an independently verified comparative benchmark. Product scope and availability should be confirmed for the buyer’s contract and geography. Read the launch announcement and the current product page.

Sievo describes a data pipeline that extracts from ERPs, data lakes and procurement systems, then cleans, translates, enriches and classifies records. It also emphasizes transaction-level traceability and surfacing insights for guided or automated action. Sievo markets an average of $20 million in incremental savings for every $1 billion analyzed and cites 63x ROI attributed to research by The Hackett Group. SpendHQ Spend Intelligence
SpendHQ describes custom sourcing taxonomies, supplier and compliance analysis, AI-generated insights and integrations with existing procurement software. Its product page states “40+” integrations, a vendor-published count; ask for confirmation that the specific connectors your environment needs are included and supported. See SpendHQ’s product information.
Ivalua Spend Analysis
Ivalua describes aggregating and normalizing ERP, accounts payable, purchasing-card, travel and external data. Its stated drill-down dimensions include supplier, category, entity, region and time, with reporting that can connect identified opportunities to sourcing and procurement workflows. These are vendor descriptions rather than independently tested results. See Ivalua’s product page.

JAGGAER One Spend Analytics
JAGGAER describes dashboards and savings tracking on top of aggregated, cleansed and classified data, with links to sourcing, contracts and procure-to-pay in JAGGAER One. Its published performance percentages are vendor claims and should not be used as direct comparisons without comparable independent methodology. See JAGGAER’s product page.
Zycus Spend Analysis
Zycus describes machine-learning classification and a shared data layer that links spend to supplier, contract and risk information. Verify the product’s current functions and the extent of those connections in a demonstration using your own evaluation scenarios. See Zycus’s product page.

How to decide which platform fits your enterprise
Start with the systems and decisions that matter to your organization, not a vendor’s headline feature count. Use the same source-system inventory and sample spend questions with every shortlisted provider.
- Map your source systems. List the ERP, accounts-payable, card, travel and procurement sources you expect to analyze. Ask each vendor for a connector matrix covering those specific products, versions, data fields, extraction method and any additional integration work.
- Test data preparation and classification. Provide representative records, including messy descriptions, duplicate suppliers, multiple languages or inconsistent category coding. Ask how cleansing, enrichment and classification work, what requires human review, and how classification decisions can be audited or corrected.
- Check taxonomy governance and drill-down. Confirm whether you can use or adapt your taxonomy, who can change it, how changes are governed, and whether users can move from a summary to the transactions behind it.
- Make refresh and reporting requirements explicit. Ask how often data refreshes, what refresh commitments apply to your proposed configuration, and whether dashboards support the supplier, category, entity, region and time views your teams need.
- Trace an insight into a workflow. Choose a real use case—such as a sourcing opportunity, supplier issue or savings initiative—and follow it from analytics to the responsible team’s next action. Clarify whether that handoff is native, integrated or manual.
- Validate implementation and total cost. Request implementation scope, data migration responsibilities, support arrangements and total cost across the contract term. Ask for references from enterprises with comparable systems and data complexity.
- Review AI and data-use controls. If a product uses AI-generated insights or recommendations, ask what data is processed, how it is used, what controls administrators have and how users can verify an output before acting on it.
What the available evidence can—and cannot—establish
The six vendors document different mixes of ingestion, classification, analysis and workflow capabilities. Their product pages help identify questions for a shortlist, but do not establish which platform will integrate most easily with a particular buyer’s environment, deliver the best outcomes or cost the least. Implementation effort, contract terms, integration depth and customer results need validation through a buyer-specific RFP, vendor demonstrations and customer references.
Vendor-published accuracy, savings, ROI and integration-count figures are not comparable unless the measurement definitions, data, scope and methodology are comparable. SAP’s September 2026 availability announcement and stated product scope should also be checked against the buyer’s geography and contract. A ten-vendor “best” ranking would imply evidence that the current published material does not provide.
