Five exceptionally thin tablets, compared
The measurements below come from manufacturer specifications. They are not a complete worldwide ranking: other relatively slim tablets exist, and the listed thickness alone does not establish which model suits a particular buyer.

The Huawei models are the thinnest entries here at 4.7 mm. Apple’s 13-inch iPad Pro and Samsung’s Tab S11 Ultra are listed at 5.1 mm, and Apple’s 11-inch iPad Pro at 5.3 mm. These are manufacturer-published dimensions, not independent measurements under a common testing method.

A difference in listed thickness does not tell you how easy a tablet is to carry or use. The Tab S11 Ultra has a 14.6-inch screen, compared with Huawei’s 13.2-inch Pro Max and Apple’s 13-inch iPad Pro. A larger display can offer more workspace but may be less convenient in a small bag or for one-handed use. Compare the tablet’s weight and physical footprint as well as thickness before deciding.
For perspective, Xiaomi lists the Pad 7 at 6.18 mm, showing that tablets outside this shortlist can also be relatively slim. That figure is not evidence that every market option has been surveyed. See Xiaomi Australia’s Pad 7 specifications.

Which one should you choose?
Choose by screen size and the work you do
If you want the largest screen among these five, Samsung specifies a 14.6-inch display for the Tab S11 Ultra. For a 13-inch-class screen, compare Huawei’s 13.2-inch Pro Max with Apple’s 13-inch iPad Pro. The 11-inch iPad Pro is the smaller-screen option in this group. Consider whether you need room for split-screen work, drawing or reading, or would rather have a device that is easier to carry.

Choose by operating system and apps
These models belong to different software ecosystems. Check that the apps, services and file workflows you rely on are available and work as expected on the model sold in your region. The cited specifications establish measurements and certain screen details, not a comprehensive comparison of software features or performance.

Check accessories and local availability
Apple lists Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C) as compatible with both cited iPad Pro models. For Huawei and Samsung, verify stylus and keyboard compatibility for the exact model and regional version before buying. A thin tablet is not necessarily a thin setup once a keyboard cover or case is attached; check accessory dimensions and weight if portability is the goal.
Availability can vary by country, and the cited manufacturer pages do not establish current local stock or prices. Confirm the exact model and configuration offered where you shop.

How to use this shortlist
- Start with your maximum screen size. Decide whether a 14.6-inch display is useful or cumbersome, then compare the 13-inch-class and 11-inch options.
- Filter by software and apps. Confirm that your essential apps and workflows are supported in the tablet’s ecosystem.
- Check the complete carry weight. Compare the tablet’s weight and dimensions, then add the case, keyboard or stylus you expect to use.
- Verify the exact regional model. Check manufacturer specifications and accessory compatibility for the SKU available locally; do not assume every market offers the same configuration.
- Compare current price and stock. The listed thicknesses do not establish either, so check local retailers before making a purchase.
Sources and specification scope
Apple identifies both M5 iPad Pro models as 2025 models in its technical specifications. Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S11 series on September 4, 2025, and lists the Ultra’s dimensions as 208.5 × 326.3 × 5.1 mm. Huawei’s cited product pages list both MatePad models at 4.7 mm. Specifications establish the manufacturers’ stated dimensions; they do not establish real-world durability, independent performance results or a definitive global ranking.
