The best Angular admin dashboard template is the one that fits both your target Angular release and the UI library your team intends to keep. For a newer Bootstrap-based project, Colorlib’s October 2026 roundup highlights CoreUI Angular and ArchitectUI Angular Free; for Angular Material, it points to ng-matero; for PrimeNG, Sakai-NG; and for Tailwind, Angular-Tailwind or TailAdmin. These are publisher-reported options, not independently verified compatibility guarantees, so check each project’s current requirements and license before adopting it.
How to choose an Angular admin template
Colorlib says its October 2026 roundup evaluated 21 templates using Angular compatibility, UI library, component count, maintenance activity, GitHub stars, and usability. Its descriptions and rankings are a useful shortlist, but versions, prices, stars, and maintenance status can change. Treat them as a snapshot and verify the specific repository or vendor listing for your project.

Start with Angular compatibility and maintenance
Check the template’s Angular peer-dependency range, supported Node.js and package-manager versions, and the date of its latest release or commit. A template described as Angular 22-compatible is not necessarily a drop-in fit for every Angular 22 application. Older projects may require migration work even when the visual design still suits your product.

Match the UI library you plan to maintain
Bootstrap, Angular Material, PrimeNG, and Tailwind lead to different component and styling choices. Prefer the library already used by your application and team unless you have a concrete reason to add another. Switching libraries to get a template’s appearance can add ongoing maintenance beyond the initial setup.

Check the license and actual project scope
Compare the license terms for your intended use, including commercial deployment, team size, redistribution, and support. A free starter may be enough for an internal tool; a paid edition may be worthwhile when its additional pages, components, or vendor support replace work your team would otherwise do. Confirm current terms with the vendor.

Rank #2
4. ngx-admin (Akveo)
A free template built around Nebular. Colorlib reports more than 40 reusable components and more than 60 examples, along with Corporate and Material themes, dark mode, and e-commerce and IoT layouts. The roundup describes it as targeting Angular 15 and reports no commits since September 2024. Its reported 25,681 GitHub stars in Colorlib’s comparison table indicate a large community, but popularity does not establish present-day maintenance or upgrade readiness.
5. CoreUI Angular
A free, MIT-licensed Bootstrap 5 template described as Angular 22-compatible. Colorlib lists more than 30 components, chart integration, Smart Table, Full Calendar, and a dark-mode toggle; a premium tier adds components and support. A free Angular Material template described as Angular 21-based. Colorlib lists dark mode, right-to-left layout, localization, permissions, tables, form builders, charts, Material extensions, schematics, and multiple layout configurations. The roundup reports 1,474 GitHub stars. It is a natural candidate for a team already committed to Angular Material, provided the current version range fits the application.
7. Material Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim)
A free Material-oriented template described as targeting Angular 14, with Chartist charts and basic dashboard, profile, table, and form pages. Colorlib reports no updates since 2024 and notes a Pro offering. Its description suggests prototypes or learning projects; a current application should account for the gap between its reported target and the Angular version in use.
8. Sakai-NG (PrimeNG)
A free template from the PrimeNG team, described as Angular 21 with PrimeNG and Tailwind CSS v4. Colorlib lists Aura, Lara, and Nora presets, light and dark modes, and sample application pages. Rank #3
9. Angular-Tailwind
A free option described as Angular 22 with Tailwind CSS v4, signals, standalone components, dark mode, an MIT license, and Playwright end-to-end tests. Colorlib reports 520 GitHub stars. Its described strengths suit a Tailwind-first team that wants control over styling and current Angular patterns; verify the repository’s current license and dependency range.
10. Light Bootstrap Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim)
A free Bootstrap 3 template described as Angular 14-based, with sidebar navigation, cards, tables, charts, and alerts. Colorlib characterizes it as lightweight and reports no updates since 2024. Its older Angular and Bootstrap targets make it a legacy-oriented choice rather than an obvious starting point for a new application.
11. Notus Angular (Creative Tim)
A free Angular 11 and Tailwind CSS 2 template with dashboard pages as well as landing, profile, and login screens. Colorlib describes a straightforward structure but says it lacks advanced dark-mode and data-table features, and reports no update since 2024. Assess the age of its stack before using it in a current application.
12. Argon Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim)
A free Angular 14 and Bootstrap 4 option described with more than 100 components, gradient styling, and overview, profile, table, login, and registration pages. Colorlib positions it as a quick-prototype choice or for teams seeking gradient-heavy branding. Verify upgrade requirements for the Angular version you target.
13. Paper Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim)
A free Angular 14 and Bootstrap template with a paper-inspired visual style, charts, cards, tables, and responsive layout. Colorlib reports no updates since 2024. Its distinct appearance may be useful when the design is a priority, but that does not remove the need to validate compatibility and maintenance.

A free dark-first template described as Angular 12 and Bootstrap 4, with gradient charts and five color filters. Colorlib reports no update since 2024. Its visual approach may suit a dark-first interface, but its reported stack age can mean upgrade work.
16. TailAdmin Angular
A free and Pro Tailwind CSS v4 option described as compatible with Angular 22. Colorlib says the free edition includes an e-commerce dashboard and more than 100 UI elements; Pro adds seven dashboards across several business areas. It also lists dark mode and availability across multiple frameworks. Confirm the current feature split and license terms with TailAdmin.
17. Now UI Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim)
A free Bootstrap-based template described as Angular 13 and not updated since 2024. Colorlib highlights typography, animations, responsive navigation, cards, charts, and tables, while noting it has relatively few pages. Consider it for its visual style only after checking its compatibility with the intended application.

Free, premium, and legacy choices
When a free template is enough
A free option can be a sensible foundation when its license allows your intended use and its maintained dependency range matches your application. For the stacks described in the roundup, CoreUI Angular and ArchitectUI Angular Free are the newer-Angular Bootstrap candidates; ng-matero is the Angular Material candidate; Sakai-NG is the PrimeNG candidate; and Angular-Tailwind is a Tailwind-first candidate. These labels are Colorlib’s reported compatibility, not a guarantee about the current codebase.
When paying may be worthwhile
A premium edition may save implementation time if its extra screens, components, charts, or support address specific project needs. The roundup names Apex Dashboard Angular, AdminDek Angular, and Metronic as paid products, and also describes paid upgrades for several free starters. A price alone does not show whether a license covers your team, commercial deployment, or required support; check the current vendor terms before committing.
When an older template may still fit
A template targeting an older Angular release can make sense when extending an existing application that already uses that stack, or when its design is more important than using it as a current production foundation. Colorlib flags ngx-admin and several Creative Tim templates as older or less recently updated. For a new application, include migration effort and the availability of current dependencies in your selection, not just screenshots and component counts.
Quick Recap
What to verify before integrating a template
- Match versions: inspect the project’s package manifest and documentation for Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, and UI-library requirements; compare them with your application’s versions.
- Check maintenance: review the repository’s latest releases and commits, issue activity, and any migration guidance. A star count is not a substitute for current maintenance evidence.
- Inspect the actual starter: confirm that the demo pages, forms, tables, charts, authentication screens, and responsive behavior you need are included in the edition you plan to use.
- Read the license: verify whether your planned commercial use, number of developers, deployment model, and any modifications or redistribution are permitted.
- Test a representative page: install the starter in a separate branch or test project, build it with your intended toolchain, and exercise one representative route before designing the application around it.
- Plan upgrades: identify whether the template’s custom components or styling conventions will make future Angular and UI-library upgrades straightforward for your team.
