Individual or Families: which fits?

Individual is for one person. Families adds sharing and simple account-administration controls for a family account. Its subscription includes five family members and five guests; additional family members who accept invitations are prorated under 1Password’s billing policy. Check the current terms if you expect to add people beyond the included allowance. Read 1Password’s subscription billing policy.

1Password also offers monthly or annual billing according to its billing policy, but the prices above are annual-billing rates. Current monthly-billed US prices were not stated in the official pricing details reviewed here, so do not assume that dividing an annual rate by 12 gives the monthly-billed price. Check the billing cadence and renewal amount shown at checkout.

How much is the Team Starter Pack?

The Teams Starter Pack costs $24.95 per month when billed annually and includes 10 members. That listed monthly price equals $299.40 for a year of the base plan. A team can add up to 10 seats at $4.99 per additional seat per month, also on annual billing. Adding seats increases the charge; the base price is not the total for every team size. See 1Password’s Teams and Business pricing.

How much does 1Password Business cost?

Business is listed at $8.99 per user per month with annual billing, or $107.88 per user per year. Unlike the Starter Pack’s fixed base for 10 members plus separately priced additional seats, Business uses per-user billing.

1Password describes Business as adding identity-provider integrations, broader role-based sharing and permissions, Watchtower alerts, wider administration, and business reporting compared with Teams Starter Pack. Its pricing page lists 20 included guests for Business, compared with five for Teams Starter Pack. Business members also receive a complimentary Families membership for personal use; that benefit does not reduce the organization’s per-user Business invoice. Review the live plan details for the feature and guest terms that apply to your account.

Teams Starter Pack or Business?

Plan Listed US annual-billing price Included members Guests listed Useful distinction
Teams Starter Pack $24.95 per month for the base; $4.99 per additional seat per month, up to 10 additional seats 10 5 Fixed base price for a small team, with separately priced extra seats
Business $8.99 per user per month Per-user billing 20 Broader integrations, controls, alerts, administration, and reporting

For a small team, compare the Starter Pack base and any additional-seat charges with Business’s per-user total, then weigh the guest allowance and administration features you actually need. Business’s included personal Families membership may be useful to employees, but it is a personal-use benefit rather than an organizational billing discount.
