Meta positions Muse as a personal AI agent that can act across the web and connected apps, not just answer questions. Reddit users have described using it for inbox cleanup, research, calls, job applications and household errands. Those accounts are useful ideas to try—not proof that every task works reliably or saves a predictable amount of time.
Here are 10 workflows drawn from user reports, with the important distinction between Meta-described capabilities and individual anecdotes. Before trying one, check whether Muse is available for your account and region, connect only the services the task needs, and review any action that sends, submits, cancels or spends money.

What Muse does—and what these examples can show
Meta describes Muse as an agent that can handle multi-step tasks across the web and connected apps, including continuing work in the background after the app is closed. Its productivity page highlights inbox management and calendar coordination, along with tasks such as groceries, bills and refunds that can involve user approval: Meta’s Muse overview and Muse productivity page.
The examples below come from individual Reddit or social posts summarized in a Tom’s Guide roundup published September 30, 2026, and from Reddit posts about personal workflows. They are not controlled tests. A user’s successful result, reported percentage or time saved should not be read as a typical outcome. Meta’s product descriptions establish what it presents Muse as doing; they do not independently verify every user story.

10 Muse workflows users have described
1. Sort email and prepare replies
One Reddit user described having Muse find emails that needed follow-up, clear junk and draft replies. This is among the more grounded starting points because Meta itself presents inbox management as a productivity use. Begin with sorting and drafts; inspect them before sending, especially when a message contains private information or makes a commitment. Reddit: “Top three use cases for Muse”; Meta productivity page.
2. Coordinate a calendar around incoming messages
A different user said Muse made calendar changes based on incoming messages. That is a potentially useful extension of calendar coordination, which Meta describes as a product task, but the specific message-to-calendar workflow is an individual report. Ask it to identify the proposed change and wait for approval before moving meetings or sending updates. Reddit: “26 use cases I’ve implemented so far (personal and business)”; Meta productivity page.
3. Make restaurant reservation calls
A Reddit poster included restaurant reservation calls among their workflows and said the calls were an early-access feature in their experience. The same user reported 60% effectiveness for their own attempts; that figure describes that poster’s experience, not a general Muse success rate. Keep a fallback plan for time-sensitive bookings and confirm the reservation directly. Reddit: “Top three use cases for Muse”; Tom’s Guide roundup of reported figures.

4. Find and organize sources for research
The same Reddit poster described using Muse to locate and organize sources for essay or content research. Another user said they generated research reports with sources and spoken summaries. Treat the output as a research starting point: open the cited material, confirm that it supports each claim and check whether it is current before relying on it. These are user reports, not an independent assessment of accuracy. Reddit: “Top three use cases for Muse”; Reddit: “26 use cases I’ve implemented so far (personal and business)”.
5. Handle a customer-service call
One account in the roundup described Muse handling a home-insurance customer-service call until it reached a human. That is a reported outcome, not evidence that Muse can resolve insurance issues generally. For policies, claims or other consequential matters, stay available to verify the details and take over when needed. Tom’s Guide roundup of reported use cases.
6. Cancel a service through online chat
A user reported canceling Verizon home internet through online chat and receiving an inconvenience-fee payment. Both the cancellation and payment are that user’s account of a particular interaction; neither should be expected in other cases. Confirm the service, fees and final terms yourself before authorizing a cancellation or accepting a settlement. Tom’s Guide roundup of reported use cases.
Rank #3
7. Find jobs and prepare applications
The roundup describes a user automating job applications by finding roles, tailoring resumes and submitting applications. Searching and drafting can reduce repetitive work, but an application represents you. Review every tailored resume, answer and submission for accuracy, and do not let an agent send claims you cannot support. Tom’s Guide roundup of reported use cases.
8. Manage shopping and household errands
Meta’s own productivity page names groceries, bills and refunds among tasks Muse can help with, subject to user approval. Separately, the roundup includes a user’s shopping and household-errand example. These tasks vary in risk: making a list is low consequence, while placing an order, paying a bill or requesting a refund changes an account or spends money. Set approval boundaries accordingly. 9. Prepare a family newsletter from routine updates
A household-workflow Reddit thread described a scheduled family newsletter assembled from calendar, weather, transport, sports and local-news inputs. Replies in the thread questioned the post’s authenticity and promotional context, so this is a disputed example—not strong evidence of ordinary performance. If you try a similar digest, check its sources and avoid sharing private calendar details with people who should not see them. Reddit household-workflow thread.
10. Set up work to continue while you sleep
The roundup includes reports of tasks completing while the user slept. Meta says Muse can keep working in the background after the app is closed, but an overnight anecdote does not establish that a specific task will finish unattended or on schedule. Use background work for reversible preparation—such as collecting information or drafting—and require review before consequential actions. Other experiments users have reported
A Reddit user’s longer list included Spotify playback and playlist creation, approval-based SMS/RCS drafts, voice-note transcription, monthly financial statements, price alerts, watch-only crypto-wallet monitoring, email and YouTube-comment drafts, bug monitoring, screen assistance, Google Drive collaboration and Dungeons & Dragons preparation. These are examples of one person’s experiments, not a verified list of generally available Muse features. The same user said they had no real-time voice mode in their experience, could not use group texts on Android, and preferred to review drafts before sending. Availability and connectors can vary, so check what your own account supports. Reddit: “26 use cases I’ve implemented so far (personal and business)”.

For a practical first try, weigh the repetitive work you want to offload against setup effort and the consequence of an error. The table is a qualitative guide, not a measured performance score; it distinguishes Meta-described categories from individual reports.
Best Value
| Workflow | Evidence in the cited sources | Access or setup to check | Safer first boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email triage and reply drafts | Meta describes inbox management; a Reddit user reported triage and drafts. | Connected email account and permission scope. | Sort and draft; approve before sending. |
| Calendar coordination | Meta describes calendar coordination; a user reported changes based on messages. | Calendar access and, for the reported workflow, incoming-message access. | Review proposed changes before moving events or notifying attendees. |
| Research preparation | Individual Reddit reports. | Web access and source requirements for the task. | Verify sources and claims yourself. |
| Calls, cancellations and applications | Individual stories summarized by Tom’s Guide. | Relevant account access and support for the particular interaction. | Stay available; approve commitments and submissions yourself. |
| Shopping, bills and refunds | Meta describes these tasks with approval; a user also reported household errands. | Connected services and payment or account permissions as applicable. | Require approval before purchases, payments or account changes. |
| Scheduled digests or overnight work | Background work is Meta-described; specific outcomes are user reports. | Scheduling, connected sources and current feature availability. | Use for drafts or collection; check the output before sharing or acting. |
A useful rule is to let Muse gather, sort and draft before asking it to send, submit, cancel or buy. If the task would be costly or difficult to reverse, keep the final action in your hands.
Availability, access and device requirements
At launch, the Associated Press reported that Muse was for adults 18 and older and available in the United States, through the Muse app or WhatsApp. Meta later described business connectors and expansion, so launch details should not be treated as a complete statement of current availability. Check Meta’s current product information for your region, account and desired connector. Associated Press launch coverage; Meta business-connectors announcement.
Meta’s download page describes a free app for iPhone and Android. A compatible smartphone is therefore a practical way to use the mobile app, but the available information does not establish a required phone model or a need to buy a new device. Meta app download page.
What the reported time savings do—and do not—establish
There is no independent population-level study in the cited material establishing how much time Muse saves. The numbers relayed in the roundup are individual claims: a Reddit user’s 60% effectiveness for reservation-call attempts, a reported $200 saved by canceling subscriptions and services, and more than 20,000 emails reportedly removed in a social post. They are not comparable measurements, and none establishes a typical result for other users. Tom’s Guide roundup of reported figures.
Meta’s announcement quotes Canva co-founder and chief product officer Cameron Adams calling Muse “an exciting leap towards agents that genuinely help us work, create and make our lives easier.” That is a partner’s view in the context of an integration, not an independent evaluation of Muse’s performance.
