No brand protection provider can be shown to be the objectively best. The ten providers below are an editorial shortlist, listed in a fixed order for orientation. The order reflects how broadly each provider describes its channel coverage, enforcement workflow, and integration with trademark or case records. It is not a measured performance ranking, and none of the providers was tested head to head. The right choice depends on which channels and threat types your brand actually faces, and on how much of the case work (validation, filing, escalation) you want the vendor to take on. Vendor pages were checked as published in October 2026, and prices and packaging change often.
What “brand protection” covers
Brand protection is a bundle of related functions rather than one standard product. Tools and services monitor marketplaces, websites, domains, social media, trademark filings, ads and copied content. They differ in whether they only flag possible problems, prepare notices, file reports, validate cases, or manage escalations. Lumping every problem under “counterfeits” leads to the wrong tool, because each threat needs different evidence and a different route to enforcement.

| Threat | Typical example | What detection and enforcement need to cover |
|---|---|---|
| Counterfeit goods | Fake-branded products listed on marketplaces | Listing detection, evidence capture, and a platform notice |
| Unauthorized resale and gray market | Genuine goods resold by a seller without rights to resell, or at prices the brand restricts | Seller-level tracking and pricing surveillance, plus a check of licensing and authorized-seller records before escalating. A takedown notice is often not the right tool here. |
| Trademark infringement | A registered mark used in listings, domains or ads | Trademark records, evidence of use, and a notice to the platform or host |
| Impersonation and phishing domains | Lookalike domains and fake support pages | Domain monitoring and takedown requests to registrars or hosts |
| Copied creative | Stolen product photos or copy | Image matching and copyright notices |
| Cloned storefronts | A near-complete copy of a brand’s site | Website monitoring and a site takedown request |
MarqVision’s own comparison draws the same line, separating gray-market seller and pricing surveillance from IP takedown work, which is a useful test when you read any vendor’s feature list.

Several marketplaces run their own rights-owner programs. A 2020 European Commission report on the sale of counterfeit goods online lists Amazon Brand Registry and Project Zero, Alibaba’s IP Protection Platform, and eBay’s Verified Rights Owner Program (VeRO) as examples. The report notes that eligibility, accepted rights, terms and the administrative burden differ between programs. Third-party services are therefore often a complement to these programs rather than a replacement. Check the current terms directly with each platform, because the report predates many changes.

The shortlist in detail
1. MarqVision
A broad, multi-threat option for brands that need marketplace enforcement alongside digital-risk, anti-piracy, gray-market or legal escalation work. Its September 2026 comparison includes performance figures that MarqVision reports about itself. Those figures are vendor-reported and not an independent result, so treat them as claims to test in a demo. MarqVision’s comparison is written by the vendor and should be read with that in mind.

2. Red Points
Best fit when you want to match a clear tier to the channels you need. Red Points’ pricing page describes Starter, Professional and Enterprise plans with different described coverage across trademark, marketplace, website, social, ad and domain channels. The page asks prospects to request pricing, so the cost of each tier is not published. If ad-platform monitoring matters to you, this is one of the few providers whose page lists it as a tier feature. Red Points pricing and plans
3. Corsearch
Described as covering trademark searching and watching, marketplace enforcement and domain monitoring for enterprise clients. Packaging and coverage change, so confirm the current scope directly with the vendor before shortlisting it.
4. Anaqua
Positions marketplace, web, domain and trademark monitoring as one connected workflow with case management and IP portfolio context. It fits teams where the enforcement queue needs to stay linked to trademark records and renewals. Anaqua brand protection

- THREAT DETECTION – Stay one step ahead. Suspicious links, risky sites, viruses, and scams, caught automatically before they reach you.
- PERSONAL INFO PROTECTION – Keep your personal info safer. Identity monitoring watches for your exposed info and tells you what to do about it.
- SECURE CONNECTIONS – Just a few clicks, and your info stays protected on public Wi-Fi every time you connect.
- PERSONAL DATA SCANS – Take your info off the market. We’ll find your personal information on sites selling it, then guide you on how to remove it.
- SOCIAL PRIVACY MANAGER – Decide what you share. McAfee finds the privacy settings buried in your social accounts and fixes them.
5. CounterFind
A managed service that validates enforcement against licensing and authorized-seller context, with optional domain and takedown modules. This is the best match among the ten if your main problem is unauthorized sellers that are hard to tell apart from licensed ones. The vendor says pricing depends on program scope, and these are vendor claims. CounterFind pricing and CounterFind’s comparison of software and a managed team both describe the model from the vendor’s side.

We could not find a neutral account of its current packaging or independently measured outcomes, so ask for those in writing before you compare it with the others. 7. EnforceShield
Focused on marketplace reporting workflows, with case validation and prioritization. The vendor publishes outcome metrics on its site. Those are vendor-reported, and they are not measured on a basis comparable to other providers, so do not set them side by side with other figures. EnforceShield marketplace brand protection

8. Smart Protection
Named among providers in a 2026 software comparison. The evidence available to us is too thin to describe its capabilities or pricing reliably. Verify its scope with the vendor before you consider it.
9. Brand Protector
A self-serve option according to a secondary comparison, which also reports publicly stated coverage and pricing. Self-serve means you keep the review and filing work, so budget staff time as well as subscription cost. Confirm the coverage and price with the provider before relying on either.

Pricing: what is and isn’t published
None of the reviewed vendor pages gives a complete, current price comparison. Red Points asks for a quote, and CounterFind’s pricing depends on program scope and support level. Secondary guides report prices for some small-business self-serve services, but those figures are time-sensitive and were not verified against the vendors’ own pages, so they are not repeated here. Do not assume one vendor’s pricing model applies to another. When a vendor does not publish a figure, the working answer is “contact vendor.”
Ask every vendor to state whether charges are per mark, per takedown, per seat or per module, and what the service caps and onboarding costs are.
Questions to put to every vendor
- Show coverage for your actual marketplaces and countries, not a general channel list.
- Show examples of false positives and explain how they are handled.
- State who reviews a case and who files it: your team, the vendor, or both.
- Describe how repeat infringers are handled and how escalation works.
- Explain how licensed and authorized sellers are excluded from enforcement.
- Disclose usage limits, add-on modules and any extra charges.
- Provide references or case records that you can check independently.
Matching a provider to your situation
- The same seller keeps reselling across sites. Look for seller-level tracking and pricing surveillance, not just takedown capability. Ask how the vendor tells an unauthorized seller from a licensed one before anything is filed.
- Counterfeits on a few marketplaces. Start with the platform programs listed above. Add a third-party tool with marketplace enforcement if the volume outgrows what you can file yourself.
- Lookalike domains and phishing pages. Prioritize providers that describe domain monitoring, such as Red Points at higher tiers, Corsearch, and Anaqua.
- Do ad platforms need covering? Some providers list ad coverage as a tier feature, and Red Points is one. For the rest, ask the vendor to demonstrate ad-platform detection rather than assume it.
- A small team with no legal staff. Self-serve options (Brand Protector, IP Moat) leave review and filing with you. IP Moat’s staff help with some objections and escalations; a managed service such as CounterFind takes on more of the workflow.
- Trademark records must stay linked to enforcement. Anaqua and Corsearch describe portfolio and trademark context as part of their offer.
