Zoho Sign and DocuSign both handle electronic signatures, but their plans count usage differently and their feature sets suit different workflows. Zoho Sign’s pricing page lists document allowances per user per month; DocuSign’s U.S. pricing page lists envelopes, which can contain one or more documents. Compare your actual sending volume, integrations, authentication needs, and required workflow features before choosing. Neither service is a universal winner.
Compare usage before comparing plan limits
A document and an envelope are not interchangeable units. Zoho Sign publishes document allowances on its plan comparison, while DocuSign uses envelopes for its eSignature allowances. One DocuSign envelope may include multiple documents, so a larger number in one service’s plan does not automatically mean more signing capacity.

Zoho Sign’s pricing page lists five documents per user per month on Free and 25 per user per month on Standard. Professional and Enterprise are shown with unlimited document allowances. DocuSign’s retrieved U.S. annual-plan page lists five envelopes per month for Personal and up to 100 envelopes per user per year for Standard and Business Pro. Check each plan’s current terms and unit labels in your region before estimating capacity.

How do the plans and prices compare?
Zoho Sign’s published plan structure includes Free, Standard, Professional, and Enterprise. The page shows the free option as single-user, with paid tiers adding capacity and capabilities. Some integrations and automations use credits, so an apparently generous document allowance may not cover every connected workflow at no additional usage cost.
The retrieved DocuSign U.S. annual pricing presentation lists Personal at $11 per month, Standard at $30 per user per month, and Business Pro at $45 per user per month, billed annually. The page shows annual commitments of $132, $360 per user, and $540 per user respectively. A separate official product page displayed monthly equivalents of $10, $25, and $40. Because the official pages present different figures, these amounts should not be treated as a settled current quote; confirm the live checkout price, billing period, and regional plan before buying.

Check current terms directly on the Zoho Sign pricing page and DocuSign U.S. pricing page; availability and prices can vary by market.
Which features matter for your signing workflow?
Choose based on the steps your team must complete, not the length of a feature list. Both services offer online signing workflows, but plan availability differs. The following are examples listed on the vendors’ official plan pages, not a guarantee that every feature is included in every region or current plan.

Which service is a better fit for your existing software?
Start with the systems that already hold your customer records and documents: your CRM, office suite, storage, and workflow automation tools. Zoho Sign may be a practical candidate when your team already works in Zoho applications; DocuSign may fit a process built around one of its supported connections. The plan pages alone do not establish that either service integrates with every version or configuration of a particular application.

- List the applications involved in creating, approving, storing, and tracking signed documents.
- Confirm that the exact integration you need is available for your region and plan, and whether it consumes credits or requires API access.
- Test a representative workflow, including where the signed record and audit information are stored.
For custom connections, Zoho publishes a Zoho Sign e-signature API page. API availability alone does not establish that a particular integration is included in a chosen plan or ready-made for your software.

Authentication options and legal suitability are separate questions. Those vendor statements do not establish that a particular signature method will satisfy every jurisdiction’s rules or the requirements for a specific transaction.

Identify the governing jurisdiction, document type, and required assurance level before choosing. If the transaction has significant legal or financial consequences, consult authoritative local guidance or qualified legal counsel. Review each provider’s current options for recipient verification and audit records against those requirements rather than assuming that a standard signing workflow is sufficient.

What should a team verify before switching?
Changing services affects more than the next document you send. Inventory the process and records that must remain usable after a move, then validate them with a representative workflow.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Templates, reusable fields, and approval order.
- Integrations, automations, and any API or webhook connections.
- Recipient authentication and the audit information your organization must retain.
- Team roles, access controls, branding, and administrative needs.
- Active signing requests and the location and accessibility of historical signed records.
Confirm how the destination service handles each item before migrating. The published plan pages do not establish that existing templates, active requests, integrations, or historical records will transfer automatically.
