The startup is building Nebula, a system intended to give AI agents a more persistent picture of how a particular company works. Zeroset says Nebula is in closed research preview.
What is Zeroset building?
Zeroset describes Nebula as a system that captures the state and traces created as people and agents work across enterprise systems. It is designed to use those records to model an organization’s decisions, dependencies, and less formal processes over time. In practical terms, the idea is to help an agent understand not just general information, but the context of work inside a specific company.

That is Zeroset’s product goal, not independent proof that Nebula already captures an organization’s operations accurately. The company frames the problem this way: knowledge about how work gets done is spread across private software tools and employee practices, making it difficult for an agent to act with company-specific context.
Why does the company talk about a “world model” for work?
Zeroset’s thesis is that an AI agent needs a maintained representation of its environment, not only a general-purpose model or access to isolated documents. For an enterprise, that representation could include how decisions relate to one another, which systems depend on which others, and how work changes over time. The company’s announcement does not establish that this approach is a settled technical consensus or that Nebula has already achieved the intended result.

What has been reported about Nebula’s performance?
Gradient, one of the round’s co-leads, reports that Nebula achieved 20% higher retrieval accuracy than Mem0, Supermemory, and naive RAG on LongMemEval. Gradient also reports median response time below 50 milliseconds and lower token use. These are investor-reported results, not independently verified findings. The available report does not establish the evaluation protocol, sample size, statistical significance, or independent replication, so the figures should not be treated as a confirmed apples-to-apples comparison.
Who founded Zeroset, and who invested?
2048 Ventures identifies Akshat Kannan as Zeroset’s co-founder and CEO, and William Zhang as co-founder; Gradient also names them as the founders building the company. Although the original headline describes the founders as young, the reviewed primary sources do not establish their ages.
The company describes the financing as a $5.2 million pre-seed round co-led by Gradient and 2048 Ventures, with Leblon Capital and other participants. Gradient independently confirms the amount and its co-lead role.

Zeroset says Nebula is in closed research preview. The announcement does not provide a general-availability date, pricing, or a public signup route. It also does not establish customer deployments or disclose security and data-governance details, so prospective users should not assume those details are settled.
