Choose Zenless Zone Zero if its urban-fantasy action-RPG identity is the draw
Zenless Zone Zero is presented by HoYoverse as an urban fantasy action RPG. If that setting and genre framing are more compelling to you than a broad fantasy adventure, ZZZ is the more natural starting point. Its official site displays current character and game material, showing that the game continues to receive updates.
For a dated example rather than a claim about the current version: a HoYoverse announcement on June 6, 2026 said Version 3.0, “Confessions of a Fool,” would launch on June 17, 2026, and introduced the city and sky island Roscaelifer. That announcement describes the planned launch at that time; it does not identify the current version as of October 7, 2026.
