To compare them today, evaluate TriNet’s current HR Platform and HR Plus offering—the current products associated with the legacy Zenefits name—against Namely’s current platform. The better fit depends on the modules your company needs, the written quote, who handles payroll taxes and benefits, and what implementation and ongoing support include.
What “Zenefits” means in a current comparison
TriNet identifies its HR Platform login as “also known as TriNet Zenefits.” Its current HR Platform page describes workforce data, onboarding, time tracking, attendance, time off, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, employee mobile access, and compliance support. TriNet HR Plus is a current offer that combines technology with service packages. Treat these current offerings—not old Zenefits plan names or prices—as the basis for a decision.

TriNet’s HR Plus page describes a flat per-employee-per-month pricing structure, with the quote depending on company size and selected services. It names Payroll Pro, for dedicated payroll and payroll-tax expertise, and People Pro, for dedicated HR and organizational support. These are service options to confirm in a proposal, not proof that every buyer receives them by default. TriNet HR Platform · TriNet HR Plus pricing

Compare the actual offers, not the feature lists
The vendors’ public pages describe capabilities, but do not establish which features will be included in a particular contract. Request proposals that cover the same headcount, locations, payroll frequency, modules, and service level, then compare the written terms.
| Decision area | What the current pages establish | What to confirm in the proposal |
|---|---|---|
| Modules | TriNet describes HR, onboarding, payroll, time, benefits administration, performance management, and related platform capabilities. Namely describes core HR, payroll, time and attendance, with several enhanced modules. | Which required modules are included, optional, or separately contracted? |
| Price | TriNet HR Plus uses a quote-based, per-employee-per-month approach tied to company size and selected services. Namely’s reviewed overview does not publish comparable pricing. | What is the total for the same scope, including implementation, migration, support, and optional modules? |
| Payroll and taxes | TriNet names Payroll Pro as an option with dedicated payroll and payroll-tax expertise. Namely advertises managed payroll. | Who handles setup, filings, exception review, corrections, and tax-agency notices—and what is included? |
| Benefits and broker workflow | TriNet describes benefits administration and announced an Employee Navigator integration update. Namely lists benefits administration as an enhanced module and describes managed benefits. | Are broker access, enrollment, carrier connections, renewal support, and benefits fees covered? |
| Implementation and service | TriNet names People Pro for deeper HR expertise. Namely describes managed HR services. | Who owns migration and implementation, what support response times apply, and what ongoing expertise is included? |
| Integrations | TriNet announced an Employee Navigator integration for HR Plus. The reviewed Namely overview does not establish a comparable integration list. | Can each platform connect to your finance, recruiting, and benefits systems, and are those connections included? |
How to choose for your company
Start with must-have workflows
List the functions your team actually needs: employee records, onboarding, payroll, time tracking, scheduling, benefits, recruiting, performance, compliance, and reporting. Ask each vendor to mark every item as included, optional, or separately contracted. Do not assume that a capability named on a public product page is part of your proposed package.
Rank #2
Make the quotes comparable
Give both vendors the same employee count, locations, payroll frequency, modules, and service requirements. Ask for an itemized total that includes implementation, data migration, support, and optional modules. TriNet says its HR Plus quote varies with company size and selected services; Namely’s reviewed product overview does not show a comparable price, so a public-page comparison cannot settle which costs less.
Assign payroll and tax responsibilities
Ask who configures payroll, submits tax filings, reviews exceptions, corrects errors, and responds to agency notices. TriNet’s Payroll Pro and Namely’s managed payroll are descriptions of available services; confirm the scope, responsibility, and fees in each company’s actual proposal.
Rank #3
Trace benefits administration from enrollment to renewal
Verify broker access, employee enrollment steps, carrier connections, renewal support, and any administration fees. TriNet’s product updates record an Employee Navigator integration for HR Plus, but the announcement alone does not establish whether it is available or included in your contract. Namely lists benefits administration as an enhanced module and describes managed benefits. TriNet product updates
Get implementation and service commitments in writing
Request a written implementation plan that names the owners for data migration, setup, testing, and launch. Compare ongoing HR expertise, support channels and response expectations, and integrations with your existing finance, recruiting, and benefits systems. TriNet’s People Pro and Namely’s managed HR services may address some service needs, but the proposal should state exactly what work and support are included. Ask for references from customers with similar size and complexity.

What public evidence can—and cannot—tell you
TriNet’s current pages connect the HR Platform to the TriNet Zenefits name, while HR Plus is presented as a current technology-and-services offer. A TriNet product-update entry dated June 5, 2026, records HR Plus enhancements including optional Payroll Pro and People Pro packages and an Employee Navigator integration. Because offerings can change, verify feature availability and contract inclusion in the proposal.

The available official product pages do not establish a head-to-head performance winner or a comparable published price. TriNet makes platform-efficiency claims, but those are vendor claims, not independent comparative evidence; Namely’s reviewed overview does not provide a comparative statistic. The decision therefore turns on your requirements and the specific terms each vendor offers.
