1. Check the exact error in Live Control Room
Open Live Control Room and read the error shown beside the Health Indicator. YouTube says the error display includes the time it was seen. The specific message “Daily live stream limit achieved” means the channel has reached its limit for creating streams within a 24-hour period. 2. If it is the daily limit, wait 24 hours
YouTube’s stated advice for reaching the daily creation limit is to try again in 24 hours. Wait, then try creating the stream again. The help page does not specify a particular reset hour or say whether scheduled, failed, quickly ended, or deleted broadcasts count toward the limit, so do not assume that removing an archive will restore capacity sooner. 3. If the error continues, check for a restriction or strike
A policy restriction or copyright issue is separate from the daily creation quota and can also prevent a channel from going live. In YouTube Studio, review notices and strikes, then follow the resolution or appeal instructions YouTube shows for the specific issue. YouTube says live-stream restrictions can be temporary or permanent; its copyright guidance also directs creators to Studio to check for strikes and address listed problems.

Do not use another channel to bypass a restriction
If YouTube has restricted your account from live streaming, it prohibits using another channel to stream while that restriction is active. YouTube characterizes this as circumvention that may lead to account termination. Resolve the restriction through the affected account rather than switching channels. 4. Rule out other eligibility and stream limits
Not every live-stream error is the daily creation limit. YouTube separately requires channel verification and no live-stream restriction in the prior 90 days for live streaming. It also documents concurrency limits: 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. Does deleting the broadcast reset the limit?
YouTube’s archive instructions explain how to manage and delete an ended stream in Studio, but do not say that deleting the video refunds a stream attempt or resets the daily limit.
