पहले पता करें कि buffering आपके encoder से YouTube तक जा रहे stream में है या दर्शकों के playback में। Creator-side समस्या में upload capacity, bitrate और Live Control Room की stream health देखें; viewer-side समस्या में दर्शकों का network और stream latency जाँचें। Upload speed को stream के कुल bitrate से ऊपर रखें, लगभग 20% headroom छोड़ें, और कमज़ोर connection पर resolution या bitrate घटाएँ।
पहले पहचानें: stream भेजते समय रुक रहा है या दर्शक देखते समय?
दो अलग समस्याओं को अक्सर एक ही नाम—buffering—दिया जाता है। अगर encoder में dropped frames या YouTube Live Control Room में stream-health errors दिखते हैं, तो जाँच creator के outgoing feed की है। अगर Live Control Room में feed ठीक है लेकिन दर्शकों का वीडियो रुकता है, तो playback network और latency देखें। YouTube Help दोनों तरह की समस्या के लिए अलग जाँच बताता है: Live stream errors और buffering या loading videos का troubleshooting।

Creator-side buffering: encoder से YouTube तक feed ठीक करें
1. Download नहीं, upload capacity जाँचें
Speed test में outbound/upload speed पर ध्यान दें। वीडियो और audio bitrate जोड़कर stream का कुल bitrate निकालें और उसे उस upload capacity से मिलाएँ जो broadcast के दौरान वास्तव में उपलब्ध होगी। YouTube Help कुल stream bitrate के लिए connection capacity पर्याप्त रखने और करीब 20% जगह छोड़ने की सलाह देता है। दूसरे लोग या उपकरण वही connection इस्तेमाल कर रहे हों तो आपकी stream के लिए उपलब्ध bandwidth कम हो सकती है। YouTube की streaming tips में upload bandwidth और headroom की सलाह दी गई है; retrieved Help page पर प्रकाशन-वर्ष नहीं दिया गया है।
उदाहरण: यदि encoder कुल 10 Mbps भेज रहा है, तो केवल 10 Mbps की nominal upload speed को पर्याप्त मानना सुरक्षित नहीं है—उसमें उतार-चढ़ाव और साझा उपयोग के लिए जगह नहीं बचती। यह गणना उदाहरण है; YouTube की सलाह को अपने वास्तविक, स्थिर upload और stream bitrate पर लागू करें।

2. Network को स्थिर रखें
- Computer से live stream करते समय संभव हो तो router से Ethernet cable जोड़ें। YouTube इसे अनुशंसित connection बताता है, पर cable किसी congested connection या दूसरी समस्या को ठीक करने की गारंटी नहीं है। YouTube filming tips।
- अगर network साझा है, तो broadcast के समय बड़े uploads, downloads या अन्य भारी उपयोग रोकें; इससे stream को उपलब्ध क्षमता घटने का जोखिम कम होता है।
- यदि primary और backup feeds भेज रहे हैं, तो दोनों के लिए आवश्यक upload क्षमता का हिसाब रखें।
3. Encoder की settings अपने चुने हुए format से मिलाएँ
YouTube की bitrate सिफारिश codec, resolution और frame rate पर निर्भर करती है। नीचे दिए आंकड़े YouTube Help के H.264 live-ingestion table से हैं; page पर प्रकाशन-वर्ष नहीं बताया गया है। “Minimum” को लक्ष्य bitrate न मानें—स्थिरता के लिए अपने format की recommended value और connection की वास्तविक क्षमता दोनों देखें।

पूरी तालिका और अन्य codec विकल्पों के लिए YouTube की encoder settings देखें। उदाहरण के लिए, उसी Help table में 1080p30 के लिए H.265/HEVC और AV1 की recommended bitrate 10 Mbps और minimum 4 Mbps है; 1080p60 के लिए क्रमशः 12 Mbps और 4 Mbps है। इन्हें H.264 वाली settings पर लागू न करें।

4. Upload उस quality को न संभाल सके तो resolution घटाएँ
उच्च resolution या frame rate को चलाने के लिए अधिक bitrate की जरूरत हो सकती है। अगर उपलब्ध upload capacity चुनी हुई setting के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं है, तो bitrate घटाने के साथ resolution या frame rate कम करें और सही codec वाली bitrate row फिर जाँचें। YouTube के stream errors guidance में अपर्याप्त bandwidth होने पर resolution घटाने का सुझाव है: Live stream errors।

- अपने encoder में वही codec, resolution, frame rate, bitrate और keyframe interval सेट करें जो असली broadcast में इस्तेमाल होंगे।
- ऐसा test चलाएँ जिसमें planned video जैसा movement और audio हो; केवल स्थिर image पर निर्भर न रहें।
- YouTube Live Control Room में stream health और आने वाले error messages देखें।
- अगर errors दिखें, तो पहले total bitrate और upload headroom जाँचें; फिर जरूरत के अनुसार resolution या bitrate घटाकर दोबारा test करें।
YouTube के encoder guidance में test और stream-health monitoring की सलाह है। Help pages पर प्रकाशन-वर्ष नहीं दिया गया है; सबसे उपयुक्त setting वही है जो आपके चुने format और वास्तविक connection के साथ test में स्थिर रहे।

दर्शकों को buffering हो: playback और latency जाँचें
पहले पता करें समस्या कितनी व्यापक है
अगर outgoing stream health ठीक है, तो पूछें कि buffering एक viewer या device पर है, या कई दर्शकों को अलग-अलग networks पर हो रही है। YouTube Help के अनुसार live playback पर network congestion और अन्य कारण असर डाल सकते हैं, भले ही किसी दर्शक का network सामान्यतः अच्छा हो। दर्शक को दूसरे network या device पर जाँचने के लिए कहें; एक ही viewer की समस्या को encoder failure न मानें। YouTube playback troubleshooting।
Latency को interaction और playback resilience के बीच चुनें

YouTube के अनुसार Low latency में अधिकांश दर्शकों के लिए latency 10 seconds से कम और Ultra-low में 5 seconds से कम रहती है; ये latency के वर्णन हैं, buffering न होने की गारंटी नहीं। YouTube Help के मुताबिक Low और Ultra-low latency पर 4K समर्थित नहीं है; Normal latency पर सभी resolutions और live features समर्थित हैं। ये आंकड़े retrieved Help page के हैं, जिस पर प्रकाशन-वर्ष नहीं दिया गया है।
अगर तत्काल बातचीत या प्रतिक्रिया मुख्य उद्देश्य नहीं है, तो Normal latency चुनना उचित शुरुआती कदम है। इससे network congestion अपने-आप समाप्त नहीं होता, लेकिन player को अधिक read-ahead buffer मिलता है।

TV पर देखने वालों के लिए
YouTube की broadcast-delay guidance के अनुसार TV playback में “Default” विकल्प playback interruptions कम करने के लिए सबसे अच्छा है। यह दर्शक के TV playback का विकल्प है—creator के encoder bitrate को बदलने वाली setting नहीं। समस्या कई services या devices पर भी बनी रहे, तो YouTube दर्शक को device manufacturer के support संसाधन देखने की सलाह देता है; अन्यथा playback समस्या दोबारा दिखाकर YouTube app से feedback भेजें। YouTube playback troubleshooting।
