Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIf you need to edit a scheduled YouTube playlist broadcast in a web dashboard, OneStream Live documents that workflow. If you need recurring live events, LiveScheduler documents schedule creation and a calendar—but it does not send or manage the live stream. The available product documentation does not confirm a tool that continuously rotates videos inside an already-running YouTube Live broadcast, so check that distinction before choosing software.
First, define what “playlist rotation” means
The phrase can describe two different jobs:
- Editing a scheduled playlist broadcast: changing which prerecorded videos are included, or adjusting broadcast details before the event starts.
- Rotating content during an active live stream: continuously switching videos while one YouTube Live broadcast remains in progress.
These are not interchangeable. The official product documentation cited here supports the first job for OneStream Live and recurring event creation for LiveScheduler. It does not establish either as a confirmed solution for continuous rotation inside an active broadcast.

Which dashboard tools cover which job?
| Tool | Documented dashboard capability | Who delivers the live video? | Active-stream rotation |
|---|---|---|---|
| OneStream Live | Edit a scheduled playlist’s videos, social destinations, stream details, and broadcast details before it goes live. Its Help Center article was last updated August 6, 2026. | The cited help article establishes scheduled playlist management, not that OneStream Live itself continuously rotates content in an active YouTube broadcast. | Not established by the cited documentation. |
| LiveScheduler | Create recurring YouTube broadcast occurrences using recurrence rules and manage them in a dashboard calendar. Its documentation describes up to 100 YouTube live occurrences from a single rule. | You operate separate streaming software; LiveScheduler says it does not stream the live itself or manage streams in progress or ended streams. | Not established; the documented service handles event scheduling, not in-progress stream management. |
| YouTube Studio and encoder | Schedule a broadcast in YouTube Studio and connect it to a stream. | YouTube’s documented workflow has you enter the YouTube Live server URL and stream key into an encoder, then start the encoder. | The cited workflow does not document playlist rotation. |
OneStream Live: edit before the scheduled broadcast starts
OneStream Live’s official help article says its web dashboard can be used to edit a scheduled playlist broadcast, including its playlist content and related destination, stream, and broadcast details. That is useful if the need is to update a scheduled prerecorded broadcast before it begins. It should not be read as proof that the dashboard can swap videos continuously while a YouTube Live broadcast is already running.

LiveScheduler is for creating recurring YouTube broadcast events and organizing them in a calendar. Its documentation says the creator must start streaming software as usual; the app does not manage streams that are already running or have ended. Its stated limit of up to 100 occurrences from one rule is a documented product capability, not a reliability or performance statistic.

YouTube: the scheduled event and video feed are separate
YouTube’s API distinguishes a liveBroadcast, which represents the event, from a liveStream, which represents the stream carrying audio and video. Its API includes methods to create, bind, update, and transition broadcasts. In YouTube Help’s encoder workflow, the creator schedules in YouTube Studio, supplies the stream URL and key to an encoder, and starts the encoder. This separation explains why a calendar or scheduled-event dashboard does not necessarily control the video feed.
How to choose without buying the wrong capability
- Write down the required action. If you only need to revise a playlist before its scheduled start, look for documented scheduled-playlist editing. If the requirement is video changes during a live broadcast, ask the vendor to demonstrate that exact workflow on YouTube.
- Check who actually sends the video. Confirm whether the service delivers the stream itself or merely creates the YouTube event and leaves delivery to an encoder you operate.
- Verify what happens after the start time. Ask whether you can edit playlist items once the broadcast is live, whether changes interrupt the stream, and whether the tool manages an active broadcast. Do not infer these capabilities from a recurring calendar or pre-live editing feature.
- Test the complete route before relying on it. Schedule a private or unlisted test, use the intended playlist, start the encoder if required, and confirm the resulting YouTube broadcast and playback behavior. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; this is an archival rule, not a promise that a particular playlist tool will rotate or restart a stream.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a YouTube channel that stays live by looping uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It runs without a computer or home connection staying on, supports uploaded video as made up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. It streams to YouTube only, and it plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera. See StreamNeo, then start your free first day.

Copyright and channel-policy checks
Before scheduling or looping prerecorded material, make sure you have the rights to stream every video and its audio on YouTube. A playlist or scheduling tool does not grant those rights. Also consider whether repeated or minimally changed material fits YouTube’s channel monetization rules; permission to use a work and eligibility for monetization are separate questions. Review YouTube’s current policies for your channel and content before committing to a recurring broadcast.
