If your YouTube Live stream keeps disconnecting on JioFiber, first compare the timestamps in YouTube Live Control Room with your encoder logs, then check the encoder’s local output and measure sustained upload capacity. Lower the stream’s bitrate if the connection cannot carry it reliably. These checks help locate the problem; they do not establish that JioFiber caused a particular disconnect.
Start with the YouTube stream-health timeline
Open YouTube Live Control Room and inspect the stream-health indicator and its messages. YouTube displays messages beside the indicator, and errors have timestamps; unresolved errors continue to appear. Record the time and wording of each error, then compare them with the encoder’s logs and any recorded local output. This timeline can help distinguish a problem visible at YouTube’s ingest from an encoder or network interruption, though it is not by itself a diagnosis of the cause.

Check the encoder and its local output
- Confirm the encoder software is current and review its error log for dropped frames, disconnects, or restarts.
- Check that the outgoing audio and video are present and that the computer is not overloaded. High CPU use or encoder errors can interrupt a stream even when the internet connection is functioning.
- If your encoder workflow supports local recording, inspect the recording around the time of a disconnect. For a 24/7 broadcast, check that the archive continues to grow and that its audio and video remain intact.
If the local output is healthy while the live stream fails, investigate the outbound network path next. YouTube’s guidance specifically recommends checking the encoder and local output before treating connectivity as the likely problem.

Measure upload capacity and compare it with the stream bitrate
A download-speed result does not show whether your connection can continuously send a live stream. Test outbound upload from the streaming computer, and compare results over time with the disconnect timestamps. A speed test is only a snapshot, so repeated checks are more useful for spotting a changing connection than one isolated result. This is practical troubleshooting, not a Jio-specific test procedure.

YouTube says the total stream bitrate must not exceed available upload bandwidth and recommends leaving 20% headroom. Other people or devices using the same network can reduce the capacity available to your encoder. For example, a stream configured at 8 Mbps needs more than 8 Mbps of available upload to preserve YouTube’s recommended headroom; congestion from other network use can reduce that margin.
Reduce the stream load if upload is variable
Choose a resolution and bitrate the connection can sustain, rather than relying on a plan’s advertised speed or a single test result. YouTube’s current encoder guidance gives these H.264 examples:

| H.264 output | Minimum bitrate | Recommended bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 720p at 30 fps | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
These are YouTube ingestion recommendations, not upload speeds guaranteed by any JioFiber plan. Other codecs and frame rates have different recommended values. Check YouTube’s current encoder-settings guidance for the codec, resolution, and frame rate you actually use before changing settings.
Verify encoder and ingest settings
For the H.264 configuration described in YouTube’s encoder guidance, the listed recommendations include RTMP/RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. YouTube supports other codecs and settings in some workflows, so H.264 is not the only possible configuration. Match your encoder to the settings required by your chosen workflow, and address any explicit format or bitrate error shown in Live Control Room.

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
Check that the encoder is sending to the intended YouTube stream and that the selected output settings agree with the stream configuration. Avoid changing several variables at once: make one adjustment, observe whether the health errors and disconnects change, and note the time so you can compare it with your logs.
Test whether Wi-Fi is contributing
If the streaming computer is on Wi-Fi, test with a wired Ethernet connection where practical. This can help determine whether the local wireless link is unstable; it cannot fix an ISP-side fault, an encoder crash, or a YouTube ingest issue. YouTube’s general connectivity advice supports checking connection reliability, but it does not prescribe Ethernet specifically for JioFiber.

Interpret the comparison
- If a wired test is stable while Wi-Fi disconnects, focus on the local wireless connection and network conditions.
- If both wired and Wi-Fi tests show weak or variable outbound upload while local encoding is healthy, the issue may lie farther along the connection path.
- If upload appears adequate but encoder or stream-health errors continue, use the timestamps to revisit encoder settings and YouTube’s ingest messages rather than assuming the ISP is responsible.
When to contact Jio
If the local encoder output is healthy and repeated upload or connectivity checks show problems, contact Jio for line-level troubleshooting. Share the disconnect timestamps, relevant Live Control Room messages, upload-test results, and whether the computer was connected by Ethernet or Wi-Fi. This evidence can make the support conversation more specific, but it does not prove that JioFiber alone caused the interruption.

Plan for the demands of a 24/7 stream
A long-running broadcast has to withstand changing network conditions over a much longer period than a brief test. Test for the intended broadcast duration, monitor stream audio and video, and check the local archive where your encoder supports one. A healthy result during a short test does not prove that the connection will remain stable around the clock. YouTube’s encoder guidance also lists cloud-based tools as an option for streaming prerecorded videos continuously; that changes where the streaming workload runs, but does not make a faulty internet connection irrelevant.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your 24/7 channel loops prerecorded videos and the computer or home connection is the part you want to remove from the workflow, StreamNeo runs the YouTube stream from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos; it does not broadcast a camera feed, and it streams to YouTube only.
- Nothing has to stay on at home: the stream runs from the cloud, so your computer can be off.
- One flat price per slot covers any quality up to 4K 60 fps as uploaded, without re-encoding or quality tiers.
