The Broadcaster product page lists monthly Premium at $14.99, yearly at $59.99, and lifetime at $199.99. The two official XSplit pages therefore conflict on the lifetime amount. Which plan fits a 24/7 channel?
Free: a personal-use option with limits
XSplit lists Free for personal use, with up to 720p output without a watermark. Above 720p, the free output carries a watermark, and the plan is limited to four scenes. If the broadcast is commercial or monetized, do not assume the personal-use license covers it; check XSplit’s current terms.

Premium: when its license or features matter
Premium is relevant if you need commercial use, output above 720p without a watermark, more than four scenes, or listed Premium features such as multistreaming, audio source, local streaming, or stream delay. Those are license and production differences. They do not, by themselves, establish that a computer or stream will run continuously without interruption.
What the license price does not cover
Broadcaster runs on a local Windows computer, so a 24/7 setup also depends on that computer, its power and internet connection, and operational oversight. XSplit lists Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, and 250 MB storage among its requirements. It gives 500 kbps as a minimum at its lowest settings and recommends 5 Mbps upload for HD. These are vendor-published baselines, not a qualification for an unattended 24/7 workload or a guarantee from your internet provider.

XSplit’s setup guidance says YouTube Live must be enabled on a verified channel and that first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Enable and verify live access before relying on a scheduled start.
Plan for YouTube archives and monitoring
YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A single 24-hour broadcast should therefore not be treated as a reliably archived replay. YouTube also warns that DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. If you need a replay or a dependable local copy, arrange and check a separate local recording rather than relying solely on YouTube’s archive.

How to choose and budget
- Choose Free only if personal use, four scenes, and the watermark rule above 720p suit your channel.
- Choose Premium if you need its commercial-use terms, unwatermarked output above 720p, additional scenes, or its listed production tools.
- Compare the monthly, yearly, and lifetime figures against how long you expect to use Premium; verify subscription renewal terms and the conflicting lifetime price at checkout.
- Budget separately for the always-on local computer, reliable power and internet, monitoring, and any local recording you require. The published system and upload figures do not establish a total 24/7 operating cost.
- Check your content rights before broadcasting. A software license does not grant permission to use music, video, or other copyrighted material, and continuous or reused programming should not be assumed to comply with YouTube policies merely because the stream works technically.
