Both are listed with 6500mAh batteries, but those capacities alone do not show which lasts longer. A 91mobiles comparison lists the Redmi at ₹39,999 from Amazon and the POVA at ₹49,999 from Flipkart; because these are different retailer listings, they are not a reliable like-for-like price gap.

Display: higher refresh rate on the POVA, with regional details to check
TECNO’s official specifications give the POVA 8 Pro 5G a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 2644 × 1208 resolution and a maximum 144Hz refresh rate. The same page lists Gorilla Glass 7i and separates brightness into 700 nits normal, 1600 nits HBM and 4500 nits peak. Peak brightness is not the same as a sustained brightness level, so it should not be read as the screen’s everyday output.

Digital Camera World reports a 6.83-inch, 120Hz display for the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. That is a reviewer’s specification listing, not an official Xiaomi specification page, and should be checked against the exact country variant before purchase. On the documented figures, TECNO offers the higher maximum refresh rate; that does not by itself establish which screen looks better, is brighter in ordinary use or is more comfortable.

The cited sources identify Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in the Redmi and MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G in the POVA. TECNO specifies its chip as a 4nm octa-core processor running at up to 2.6GHz. The available comparison does not include controlled benchmark results or sustained gaming tests, so chipset names and peak clock speed cannot establish which phone is faster in demanding apps, stays cooler, or maintains performance during long sessions.

If gaming or heavy multitasking is decisive, look for independent tests of the exact regional models, including sustained performance and thermal behavior. A specification comparison alone cannot resolve that choice.
Cameras: compare the hardware, not just megapixel counts
The reported Redmi setup pairs a 200MP main camera with an 8MP ultra-wide. TECNO officially lists a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 13MP front camera. OIS means optical image stabilization, but the cited specifications do not establish how well either phone handles low light, moving subjects, video, or color processing. A higher megapixel figure is not proof of better photos.

For a camera-led decision, compare sample images and video from the specific regional versions, especially in low light and with the ultra-wide camera. A directly comparable camera test is not available in the cited sources.

Battery and charging: equal listed capacity is not equal endurance
Both phones are reported with 6500mAh batteries. TECNO specifies 45W Super Charge over USB-C for the POVA; the cited Redmi review does not provide a charging rate. Battery capacity does not determine screen-on time by itself: display settings, chipset behavior, software and network conditions all affect runtime. No matched battery-endurance or charging-time test is established here.

Price difference: the listed India prices are not a matched comparison
A 91mobiles comparison page accessed in 2026 lists the Redmi at ₹39,999 from Amazon and the POVA at ₹49,999 from Flipkart. The displayed figures differ by ₹10,000, but they come from separate retailers, and the page does not establish that the configurations, offers, stock status or terms match. To make a useful purchase comparison, check both phones in the same country and at the same time, matching physical RAM and storage where possible. Confirm the retailer, exact regional model, warranty and any discount before treating one as better value.
Which phone should you choose?
The POVA 8 Pro 5G may suit you if
- You value a higher listed screen refresh rate: TECNO specifies up to 144Hz.
- You want an officially listed 45W charging specification alongside a 6500mAh battery.
- You are considering a 256GB or 512GB storage configuration; compare physical RAM separately from extended RAM.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G may suit you if
- The reported 200MP main camera is appealing, while recognizing that megapixels alone do not establish image quality.
- You find a better matched local price for the configuration and warranty you want.
Neither set of specifications settles real-world camera quality, battery life, gaming performance, software-support duration or local warranty coverage. Verify those points for the exact version sold in your market before deciding.
