Deal status: expired historical promotion (Philippines, April 2019). Xiaomi’s Pocophone F1 was advertised at ₱14,990 for 6GB/64GB and ₱16,990 for 6GB/128GB, with a scheduled Lazada flash price of ₱14,590 for the 64GB model. The regular prices began on April 16, 2019; the flash sale was scheduled for midnight on April 15. There is no verified current official F1 offer in the available sources, so these prices should not be treated as a live 2026 deal.
What the Philippine promotion included
The original deal report was published on April 12, 2019, for Xiaomi’s Philippine retail channel. It listed two configurations and a separate, time-limited Lazada offer.
| Configuration | Previous price | 2019 promotion price | Saving | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6GB RAM/64GB storage | ₱17,990 | ₱14,990 | ₱3,000 | Approximately 16.7% |
| 6GB RAM/128GB storage | ₱19,990 | ₱16,990 | ₱3,000 | Approximately 15.0% |
| 6GB RAM/64GB storage, Lazada flash sale | ₱17,990 original price | ₱14,590 scheduled flash price | ₱3,400 versus original; ₱400 versus the new regular price | Approximately 18.9% versus original |
The regular reductions were scheduled to start April 16, 2019. The ₱14,590 figure was a scheduled midnight Lazada flash-sale price, not an all-day price guarantee. See the original Philippine announcement at NoypiGeeks.
Why the Pocophone F1 was exceptional value in 2019
The F1 put a flagship processor into a much cheaper phone. Xiaomi’s UK specification page lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, clocked up to 2.8GHz, with an Adreno 630 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. LiquidCool technology was intended to help sustain performance during demanding workloads.

That combination made the F1 particularly attractive for gaming and other processor-heavy tasks. Its 4,000mAh typical battery, Quick Charge 3.0, USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack also covered practical priorities that many buyers had to compromise on elsewhere. Dual-SIM support and microSD expansion added flexibility, although the tray is hybrid rather than offering two SIMs and a memory card simultaneously.
For historical context, a separate Singapore Black Friday listing priced 64GB at S$438.50 and 128GB at S$478 in 2018. Those were Singapore prices and a different promotion, not evidence of Philippine pricing or current availability; the listing is archived at HardwareZone.
Key specifications
The figures below come from Xiaomi’s UK product specification page, so regional variants can differ. They describe hardware capability, not present-day software support.

64GB or 128GB: which version made sense?
Choose 64GB for the lowest upfront cost
The 64GB model was the budget choice, especially for buyers comfortable using cloud storage or a microSD card. The flash sale made it ₱400 cheaper than the new regular price, but removable storage does not make it equivalent to 128GB internal storage: apps and system data still depend on the phone’s internal space.
Choose 128GB for easier long-term use
At only ₱2,000 more than the discounted 64GB model, 128GB offered substantially more room for apps, photos and offline media without managing a memory card. Because the tray is hybrid, buyers who require two active SIMs may not want to sacrifice the second slot for microSD expansion.
The Philippine promotion specifically named 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. Do not assume that 8GB or 256GB variants were part of that offer without a matching retailer listing.
The compromises behind the low price
Older display and physical design
The F1 uses an LCD rather than an OLED panel, with a large notch and bezels that look dated beside current phones. Xiaomi lists dimensions of approximately 8.8mm thick and 182g. The cited specification page does not list wireless charging or an official IP water-resistance rating.

Flagship-class chip, period-appropriate cameras
The 12MP primary camera used Dual Pixel autofocus and was respectable for its launch period, while the 5MP secondary camera added limited depth functionality. A Snapdragon 845 does not make the camera system a modern flagship equivalent; night photography, stabilization and the usefulness of the secondary sensor remain separate considerations.
Software support is now the central issue
Contemporary coverage describes the phone as shipping with Android 8.1 and MIUI for POCO. Xiaomi’s current general policy says security updates are typically maintained for at least two years after first shipment, with some models receiving three years or longer. That policy is general, not a current F1 support confirmation. Because the F1 launched in 2018, buyers in 2026 should not assume current Android or security patches. Read Xiaomi’s policy at its support FAQ.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you buy a Pocophone F1 in 2026?
Only conditionally. The phone was an excellent 2019 performance-per-peso proposition, but an old or used unit is now a maintenance and support purchase rather than a straightforward bargain. There is no verified current official retail inventory or price in the available sources.
Inspect these points before paying
- Battery: Ask about health, charging behavior and replacement cost; batteries can degrade even in sealed old stock.
- Software: Check the installed security-patch date and do not assume ongoing manufacturer updates.
- Condition: Test the screen for burn-in or touch faults, the USB-C port, fingerprint reader, face unlock and camera autofocus.
- Identity: Confirm the exact model, storage size, regional ROM and activation status. A seller’s “new” label can describe repacked or refurbished stock.
- Accessories and warranty: Verify that the charger is genuine, the warranty is still valid, and the return period is meaningful.
- Network: Match the precise model’s LTE bands to your carrier and country; imported variants may differ.
- Total value: Compare the asking price, parts availability and support risk with newer entry-level or refurbished phones.
A very low price can make an F1 sensible as a secondary phone, inexpensive gaming handset or custom-ROM project. It is a poor fit as a primary phone for anyone who needs current security updates, dependable battery life, modern cameras, 5G, water resistance or manufacturer warranty.

How the original decision looks in retrospect
In 2019, paying ₱14,590–₱16,990 for Snapdragon 845 performance, 6GB RAM, a large battery, headphone jack and expandable storage was a compelling trade-off. Buyers accepting an LCD, notch, average-by-flagship-standards cameras and less polished design received unusually high performance for the money.
In 2026, security-support status, battery condition, seller protections, network compatibility and actual device condition matter more than the launch processor. Treat the Philippine announcement as an archived deal, not a current buying link. For a new purchase, investigate a currently supported Xiaomi or POCO successor independently rather than assuming the F1’s old price advantage still exists.
Regional specification caution
Xiaomi regional pages are not perfectly consistent. For example, a Singapore FAQ lists different display, battery and camera details from the UK product page. Use the region-specific product page and the Philippine listing for the configuration being sold, instead of combining figures from unrelated pages. The conflicting Singapore reference is available at Xiaomi Singapore’s FAQ.
