Xbox Series X includes the HDMI and power cables needed for a basic setup, plus a controller. Connect the included Ultra High Speed HDMI cable to the console’s HDMI port and your display, then connect the power cord. For accessories, Microsoft says most Xbox One controllers and gaming accessories work with Series X|S; for storage, the dedicated Storage Expansion Card is the option Microsoft says matches the internal SSD’s performance.
What cables come with Xbox Series X?
Microsoft lists the console, controller, Ultra High Speed HDMI cable, and power cord as package contents. Standalone products are not included in the bundle. The included HDMI cable is intended for connecting the console to a compatible display, so a separate cable is not needed for an ordinary setup unless the included one is missing, damaged, or unsuitable for your arrangement. Can Xbox Series X display 4K at 120 FPS?
Microsoft specifies 4K gaming at up to 120 FPS with supported content and a supported display. The HDMI 2.1 port alone does not guarantee that result: the display must support the resolution and refresh rate, and the game or other content must support the feature. Check your display’s specifications and settings to confirm which modes it can use. Microsoft’s Xbox Series X product page
Do Xbox One controllers work on Xbox Series X?
Microsoft says “Xbox Series X|S consoles are compatible with most Xbox One controllers and gaming accessories.” The word “most” matters: this is not a guarantee for every older third-party controller or accessory. Check the device maker’s compatibility details if a particular model is not identified by Microsoft. Microsoft’s Xbox Series X product page
