If you want to stream games to a television without Xbox Cloud Gaming, the best-supported alternatives in the available documentation are NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna and Boosteroid on certain LG TVs. GeForce NOW also lists one specific Fire TV Stick model as compatible. Which option will work for you depends on your TV or streaming device, country, controller and access to the games you want to play.

Start with your hardware and country, then check how each service lets you access games. A service being available on your TV does not mean it includes the games you own or want to play.

- Identify the exact device. Note your TV model and operating system, or the full model and generation of your streaming stick.
- Check availability in your country. Verify that the service and the relevant TV app or device route are currently offered where you live.
- Check game access. Compare the current catalogue, whether games are included with a membership, and whether you need an account or purchase from a supported game store. The cited information does not provide a complete current catalogue or ownership comparison.

Can you use GeForce NOW on a Fire TV Stick?
NVIDIA lists the first-generation Fire TV Stick 4K Plus with Fire OS 8.1.6.0 or later among its compatible devices. The model generation and operating-system minimum matter; this support should not be generalized to every Fire TV Stick. Check NVIDIA’s requirements page for the current compatibility list and pair the device with a gamepad NVIDIA supports for TV play. [c002]
A streaming stick is useful only if its exact model appears on the service’s supported list. If your smart TV is already supported, you may not need a separate device.

What should you check before settling on a setup?
- Your TV or streaming device’s exact model, generation and operating-system version.
- Whether the service is currently available in your country and on that device.
- Whether the games you want are in the current catalogue and how you access them.
- Whether your controller is supported for TV play.
- Whether your home connection and location are suitable for cloud streaming.
Because compatibility, catalogues and membership terms change, verify the current details on the provider’s official pages before subscribing or buying hardware. For tailored guidance, the two most useful details are your country and exact TV or streaming-device model.
