How Kyndryl’s framework is intended to support WPP’s technology modernization
Kyndryl says its framework will help modernize WPP’s application estate and support operations. The planned model groups workplace, cloud, infrastructure and enterprise services under a common automated approach, with the goals of resolving issues faster and reducing technical complexity.

WPP says it expects efficiencies and savings over time, with some savings reinvested. The announcement gives no savings estimate or measured impact, so these are expectations rather than verified outcomes.
What “agentic AI” means in Kyndryl’s description
Kyndryl launched its Agentic AI Framework in July 2025. The company describes it as orchestrating specialized, self-directed and self-learning agents that respond to changing conditions, while people retain oversight. In August 2026, Kyndryl also announced Agentic Modernization services-as-software built using the framework and scaled through Kyndryl Bridge. That announcement provides broader context for Kyndryl’s portfolio, but the WPP release does not say that its agreement includes every offering in that separate announcement. Kyndryl names WPP its preferred global marketing partner. WPP’s described role goes beyond media, brand and creative strategy to include digital, experiential and integrated marketing capabilities. The companies also plan to enable an AI-powered Marketing Operating System built on WPP Open, which WPP describes as its agentic marketing platform.

Kyndryl UKI President Jonathan Ingram described the combination of modernization, AI-enabled operations and customer growth capabilities as a way to help WPP transform and innovate faster. These are the executives’ stated aims, not independent evidence of results.
