What is the Woojer MAT?
The Woojer MAT is a foldable vibroacoustic mat with six haptic zones positioned under the shoulders, hips, and legs. It converts audio into tactile sensations; it is not a conventional massage mat, and its single-width format is not designed to cover a shared bed like a full-width topper.

What did the independent review find?
In a hands-on review published December 24, 2025, T3 reviewer Lucy Miller said setup was straightforward and described short sessions as soothing. She also found the mat impractical for overnight use in a shared bed: it is single-width, and she could faintly hear vibration elsewhere in the house. Her experience points to a more plausible use as a deliberate relaxation or recovery session than as something to leave running nightly.
Miller’s account is one person’s experience, not evidence that other users will feel the same. She also noted that a week of use could not establish long-term muscle-recovery effects. Read her T3 Woojer MAT review.

Can the Woojer MAT help you unwind or sleep?
It may feel relaxing to some users, as Miller reported, but the available information does not establish a reliable relaxation or sleep benefit from this specific mat. Woojer’s science page summarizes studies involving Woojer hardware in different settings; those findings should not be treated as tests of the MAT or proof of a typical consumer benefit.
For example, Woojer reports that a 2025 Journal of Anxiety Disorders study involved 128 people in four groups, and says only the group receiving vibration synchronized to breathing showed steadier breathing across visits. The company also summarizes a 2026 BMJ Open simulation in which the median participant rating of Woojer’s contribution was 7 out of 7 (IQR 6–7). No MAT-specific controlled trial establishing relaxation or sleep benefits is identified in the sources cited here. Woojer states that the MAT is a wellness product, not a medical device, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. A positive individual review or research involving other Woojer hardware does not change that distinction.

Woojer’s FAQ says not to use the MAT with a pacemaker, another implanted or attached electronic or mechanical device used to support the body, or a defibrillator. The manufacturer also advises consulting a physician before use in circumstances including pregnancy, certain symptoms or heart conditions, heart or blood-pressure medication, and other health concerns such as back pain. It says to stop using the mat and ask a doctor if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual occurs.
