Windows 11 version 23H2 does not have one end-of-support date for everyone. Microsoft ended updates for Home and Pro on November 11, 2025; Enterprise and Education editions are listed through November 10, 2026. As of October 12, 2026, that latter deadline is about 29 days away. Check your edition before deciding whether you need to act.
When does Windows 11 23H2 support end?
Microsoft’s lifecycle dates depend on the installed edition. “23H2” by itself is not enough to tell whether a PC has reached the end of updates.

Microsoft lists Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations, and SE under the Home/Pro lifecycle scope. Enterprise and Education are covered by a separate lifecycle listing. If you are unsure which edition is installed, check it in Windows before relying on either date.
How to check your Windows edition and update
For an eligible device, Microsoft’s 23H2 release-health guidance directs users to Windows Update. Updates may be offered at different times depending on device eligibility and rollout, so the next version offered is not necessarily the same for every PC.

- Open Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates.

What the deadline means for your PC
For Home and Pro 23H2, the November 11, 2025 end-of-updates date has already passed. For Enterprise and Education 23H2, Microsoft lists updates through November 10, 2026. Microsoft says Home and Pro customers contacting support after their end date “will be directed to update their device to the latest version of Windows 11 to remain supported.”
Use Windows Update to see what is available for your device; the cited guidance does not establish that every PC will be offered a particular version immediately. The date alone also does not establish a need to buy new hardware or install a third-party repair or optimization tool.
