Marcus Rashford was expected to be available for Manchester United’s match against Tottenham after the international break, according to a report published on 2 October. Manchester United had confirmed that he withdrew from England duty and would follow an individual recovery plan, but the club had not confirmed he was fit to play or start.
What Manchester United has confirmed
Manchester United said Rashford was among the players withdrawing from international duty. The club said: “Each of the players will be assessed and undergo individual recovery plans during the current three-week international break.” Its update did not give a diagnosis or make a matchday availability decision.
What the latest report says about Tottenham
On 2 October, RotoWire reported, citing The Standard’s Oli Gent, that Rashford was expected to be available for the Tottenham match. That report described the issue as a minor knock or strain; this detail was not included in the club’s statement. “Expected to be available” is not confirmation that Rashford will play, start, or be selected.
When and where is the match?
Manchester United’s official fixture update listed Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford for Saturday 10 October 2026, with a 17:30 BST kickoff. Availability can change before the match, so a later club update or matchday team news is needed to establish whether Rashford is involved.
