The announced November 19, 2026 date applies to the console launch. Take-Two stated that date in its June 25, 2026 pre-order announcement, and the PS5 and Xbox product pages show it as well. No PC date is stated.
Should you buy a console or wait for PC?
If you want to play at the announced launch, the choice supported by current listings is between PS5/PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. If you already own one of those systems, weigh that against your preferred store and account region. If you do not own a supported console, buying one means paying for hardware to access the confirmed console release; waiting avoids that purchase but has no confirmed PC date attached to it.
- Existing console: Check whether the game is listed for your specific system and whether you prefer its account, store, and ecosystem.
- No supported console: Decide whether playing on November 19, 2026 is worth buying a PS5-family console or Xbox Series X|S now, or whether you are willing to wait without a PC schedule.

What do the editions cost, and what does “physical” mean?
Take-Two’s June 25, 2026 announcement gives these US edition prices. They are announced US prices, not worldwide pricing or a guarantee of what every retailer currently charges.

Rockstar says the physical edition is code-in-box: the package contains a code for the digital game, not a disc. Rockstar’s support information says physical availability and pre-load are scheduled to begin November 12, 2026, one week before the console launch. Check the Rockstar Games Store listing and the retailer’s current terms before ordering.
Because the package contains a code rather than a disc, verify which console the code is for and whether it can be redeemed with your account. Rockstar describes code-region restrictions and recommends buying from a retailer in the country associated with your account. Its pre-order details provide the relevant purchase guidance.
