What the WiiM Bar is—and what “under $500” means
WiiM positions the Bar as a soundbar for television audio, music streaming, and multi-room listening. The company’s product page lists a US price of $479, but marks the product “Coming Soon.” Treat $479 as WiiM’s listed price, not a verified retailer offer or proof that the Bar is available to order. What Dolby Atmos support and the channel layout mean
WiiM specifies a 3.0.2-channel configuration: three front mid-woofers, three front tweeters, and two upward-firing full-range height drivers. The company also lists Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, AC3, DTS, and DTS:X support, as well as 135W system power and four passive radiators. Atmos support means the Bar is designed to handle that format; it does not guarantee that height effects will be convincing in every room. No independent comparative listening test is established here, so the specifications alone cannot show how the Bar sounds against other soundbars.
Display, controls, and advertised sound features
The Bar has a 2.1-inch round touch display. WiiM says it can show album art, track details, EQ, Smart Presets, recently played content, clock faces, wallpapers, visualizations, playback controls, and source controls. WiiM also advertises RoomFit automatic correction, Clear Voice, AI Dialog Enhancement, and Night Mode. These are listed features; their presence does not amount to an independently verified result for a particular room, program, or listener.
Streaming services and smart-home connections
WiiM says the Bar can stream from more than 20 services through the WiiM Home app and lists Google Cast Audio, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music Cast, DLNA/UPnP, LMS, and Roon integrations. Connecting the Bar to a TV
WiiM’s setup guide uses the Bar’s HDMI eARC port and the television’s HDMI ARC/eARC port. WiiM instructs users to select the Bar as the TV’s audio output, enable HDMI-CEC, and set the TV’s digital audio format to Auto or Pass Through. There is no HDMI passthrough port

The Bar’s eARC connection is for receiving TV audio; it is not an extra HDMI input for a console, player, or set-top box.

Can the WiiM Bar expand to surround sound?
WiiM says the standalone Bar can expand from 3.0.2 to as much as 5.1.2 with compatible surround speakers and a subwoofer. Its setup guide gives the WiiM Sub Pro and two WiiM Sound units as an example.
