If your team keeps losing in Rumble Heroes: Adventure RPG, first check which activity you are playing. Equipment and performance can be mode-specific, so a setup that works in one area may not carry over to another. Then review the heroes and Training Ground, relic configuration, and damage in the same mode before changing your lineup.
Start by identifying where the team loses
Note the island, mode, or stage where the loss happens. PLAYHARD’s update notes distinguish Rumble Island from Abyss activities, including seasonal Abyss equipment that cannot be used on Rumble Island during the season. Treat each mode as its own test rather than assuming one build is valid everywhere. PLAYHARD’s August 2024 update notes describe mode-specific equipment, while its December 2025 notes cover Frozen Abyss and seasonal equipment.

Check progression for the active mode
Heroes and Training Ground
Review whether the heroes or mercenaries you rely on and your Training Ground have been developed. These are separate progression layers, so changing a hero alone may not address a broader gap. PLAYHARD’s April 2023 notes documented an expansion of the Troop and Training Ground level caps to 65 at that time; that historical cap should not be treated as the current maximum. Verify that the gear you equipped is valid for the activity you are entering. In seasonal Abyss, use the Abyss equipment system rather than assuming ordinary island equipment applies. Check the current in-game mode and equipment screens, since availability and seasonal rules can change.

Relics and boosters
Inspect the relic fragments and Relic Boosters equipped for the team. PLAYHARD notes that relic skill effects vary with fragment composition and that Relic Boosters enhance basic damage. Change one relic or booster choice at a time, then retest; otherwise, you will not know which change affected the result. The April 2023 notes also describe relic mechanics.
Measure damage in the same environment
Use the Scarecrow in the Training Ground to compare damage per second (DPS), but run the comparison in the same environment as the activity you are troubleshooting. PLAYHARD’s notes explain that the Scarecrow calculates DPS based on the environment entered, distinguishing Rumble Island and Abyss Rift calculations. A reading from one mode is not a like-for-like comparison with a reading from another. The August 2024 notes explain the Scarecrow behavior.

- Enter the environment relevant to the stage you are trying to clear.
- Use the Scarecrow to record the team’s DPS under those conditions.
- Change one build element, such as a relic configuration, and repeat in the same environment.
- Retest the actual stage. Higher Scarecrow DPS does not prove the team can survive or clear that encounter.
Match the fix to the failure
- If the team loses in a different mode than usual: confirm equipment eligibility and review that mode’s setup first.
- If damage seems low: check relevant hero and Training Ground progression, then compare DPS with the Scarecrow in the matching environment.
- If the team’s setup changed but results did not: inspect relic fragments and boosters, changing only one variable per retest.
- If a boss or event stage remains difficult: read its current in-game instructions and consider the encounter’s mechanics. The available official notes do not establish a universal counter or lineup for every boss or event.
Why there is no guaranteed lineup fix
The official material documents progression systems and mode rules, not a current, comprehensive tier list or tested universal strategy. A lineup recommendation without the specific mode, stage, and current game rules could mislead. Use controlled comparisons and verify each change in the activity where you are losing.
