Kofyr was reportedly banned from Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) tournaments and other Psyonix-affiliated competitions through the end of 2027. Esports coverage says Psyonix cited a violation of conduct rule 7.1.3, but the brief ruling as quoted in reports does not describe the conduct behind it. Coverage links the case to allegations surrounding the 2026 RLCS World Championship period; those accounts should not be mistaken for details confirmed in the ruling.
What Psyonix reportedly announced
Esports.gg quoted a statement attributed to the Rocket League Esports account saying Kofyr was barred from RLCS tournaments and “all additional Psyonix-affiliated competitions until the end of 2027” for violating code of conduct section 7.1.3. The outlet described the statement as concise. Because the original announcement was not directly available in the reporting reviewed here, the terms are best understood as reported by Esports.gg, rather than independently verified against Psyonix’s post. What reports say about the surrounding allegations
Sheep Esports reported that public discussion after the 2026 RLCS World Championship included allegations about behavior at an event after-party, alongside accounts from community members and a response from Kofyr. The short ruling quoted in coverage does not set out those allegations or specify which reported account formed the basis for Psyonix’s decision. They therefore remain reported context, not findings that can be attributed to the ruling itself. Sheep Esports’ coverage
What Kofyr said in his apology
Sheep Esports reported that Kofyr apologized on September 28, 2026, saying: “I want to sincerely apologize for making anyone uncomfortable with my behavior.” The outlet also quoted him saying he had contacted people directly and planned to seek professional help. This establishes what he said publicly, as reported by Sheep Esports; it does not establish whether the stated steps were later completed. Sheep Esports’ report and quoted statement

What rule 7.1.3 means—and what is not established
The coverage of the ban names section 7.1.3, but the exact text of the contemporaneous RLCS rulebook provision is not established by the available sources. Rocket League’s public Code of Conduct is general player policy, not a substitute for the RLCS rulebook language cited in this case. It says Epic Community Rules apply in Rocket League and describes possible consequences ranging from warnings or loss of social features to permanent account bans. Those general policies do not explain the exact meaning of RLCS section 7.1.3 or add detail to the reported competitive ruling.
Is Kofyr banned from playing Rocket League?
The reported sanction concerns eligibility for RLCS tournaments and other Psyonix-affiliated competitions through the end of 2027. It does not establish that Kofyr’s ordinary Rocket League account or access to the game was banned. Epic’s support pages describe account-level enforcement separately: Rocket League account-ban guidance and harassment-ban guidance. Neither page establishes that such an account penalty was imposed in Kofyr’s case.

How Rocket League’s player-reporting guidance fits
Psyonix’s June 11, 2020 community message described how players could report inappropriate online behavior with the in-game Report Player button and said players would be notified after a report was reviewed and action taken. That guidance concerns general in-game reporting; it is not evidence about how the Kofyr case was investigated. Psyonix’s community message
