The Android AI tool in Parth Shah’s headline is ChatGPT. His “Gemini on steroids” description is a personal endorsement, not a measured finding: he says he began using ChatGPT alongside Gemini and eventually opened ChatGPT more often, based on his own experience with answers, image generation, connected services, and desktop apps.
What Shah liked about ChatGPT

Answers that felt more natural and concise
Shah found ChatGPT’s responses more natural and concise, while Gemini’s sometimes felt robotic or over-explained to him. He also notes that custom instructions or a Gemini Gem could change the experience. The comparison does not establish that one assistant writes better for every user or task. Shah says ChatGPT handled the details of one complex café-scene prompt better, including where objects appeared and how they related to one another. The article does not report repeated trials, a benchmark, or a larger set of prompts, so this is evidence of his experience with that example—not a general ranking of image generators. Trying the same prompt in both apps is a more useful test for your own needs.

Connections to services outside Google
Shah names Notion, Slack, Outlook, and Figma as services he can connect to his ChatGPT workflow. He contrasts that with Gemini’s more Google-centered connected-app experience. The article does not specify which accounts, plans, regions, or feature settings are required, so confirm that the services you rely on are available in your own app and account before choosing based on integrations. A desktop workspace he preferred
Shah says ChatGPT’s Mac and Windows apps felt more like a workspace to him, mentioning chats, Work sessions, and Codex. That is his assessment of the desktop workflow, not an independently verified feature comparison or a guarantee that the same tools are available to every user.

When Gemini may be the better fit
Shah does not present ChatGPT as the right choice for everyone. He considers Gemini reasonable for someone who uses an assistant while driving or whose work is entirely within Google’s ecosystem. - Everyday answers: Ask each assistant the same questions and judge whether the length, tone, and level of explanation suit you. Shah preferred ChatGPT’s style, but your results may differ.
- Your image prompts: Use the same detailed prompt in each app and check whether the composition and relationships between objects meet your expectations.
- Work services: Check whether the apps and accounts you need to connect are supported for your region and plan. Notion, Slack, Outlook, and Figma are examples Shah used, not a promise of current availability for every account.
- Driving and Google workflows: If voice use while driving or deep reliance on Google services is central to your routine, weigh Gemini’s suitability for those needs before switching.
- Desktop work: If you continue projects on a computer, compare the available Mac or Windows workflows directly, including the tools you expect to use.
What the article does—and does not—establish
