Each platform has different requirements. For mobile games, the most common checks are the selected Netflix profile’s maturity setting, the device’s operating system, the Netflix app version and whether the title is available. TV and browser games are a separate beta experience with their own country and device restrictions.
First, identify which Netflix games you’re looking for
Netflix mobile games are downloaded to supported Android and Apple phones and tablets. They are not playable on TVs or similar platforms. TV and computer-browser games are a distinct experience, and Netflix says it is in beta and not available in every country or on every device.

Check the Netflix profile and maturity setting
A game can be hidden because of the profile you selected, even when the device is compatible. Netflix says a game whose maturity rating is higher than the profile’s setting will not appear in the Netflix app. Netflix Games also do not appear in profiles using the Netflix Kids experience. Compare the device’s OS with the game’s requirements
Netflix’s missing-game troubleshooting page lists Android 8 or later and iOS or iPadOS 15.0 or later as minimums for Netflix mobile games. Its broader mobile games guidance recommends Android 9, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 for the best experience across games. These are different thresholds: meeting the listed minimum does not guarantee that every title will run, because an individual game may require a newer OS or have other device requirements.
- Android: Open Settings and look under About phone or About tablet for the Android version.
- iPhone or iPad: Open Settings > General > About and check the iOS or iPadOS version.
If an OS update is available, install it and check the game again. For title-specific compatibility details, look up the game in Google Play or the App Store and follow its dedicated support information.

Update Netflix and search the app store directly
If the Games shortcut or Mobile Games row is missing on Android, Netflix advises installing the latest version of the Netflix app. Then search for the title directly in Google Play or the App Store; Netflix says games can be installed from those stores as well as from within Netflix. Sign in with the Netflix account if prompted, then select the profile you intend to use. Netflix’s How to download explains the installation process.

Check account, connection and storage
Before treating the device as incompatible, make sure your Netflix membership is active, the device has internet access for downloading and installing, and there is enough free storage. If Netflix reports that the account has reached a device limit, its mobile-games guidance says signing out of devices you no longer use can free a slot.

If games are missing on a TV
TV games are not mobile games streamed to a larger screen; Netflix handles them as a separate experience. Open Netflix on the TV or streaming device and choose a profile. If Games is absent, check Netflix’s current supported-country information and the device-compatibility control under Manage Access and Devices. A TV that is listed as compatible may still need a software update.
Netflix’s TV-games setup guidance calls for the Netflix app, a stable internet connection, and a phone or tablet for each player; it recommends a connection of 10 Mbps or higher. That speed is Netflix’s recommendation for this setup, not a guarantee that every TV model is supported. See Play games on TVs and computers for the current eligibility and setup details.

If games are missing in a computer browser
Netflix directs computer players to Netflix.com using Chrome or Edge. Update the browser, confirm that your country is supported, and check Netflix’s current device eligibility guidance. The TV and browser game experience is a beta, so availability can differ by country and device and may change. The same Netflix TV and computer games page provides its current information.
When a title is temporarily unavailable
A game may disappear or fail to launch while Netflix updates it or fixes a problem. Netflix’s TV and browser troubleshooting also identifies connection instability, too many people playing on an account, unusually high demand for a game, and maintenance as possible causes of errors. Follow the message shown on screen: address a connection or account-capacity warning as directed, or try another title and check back later if the game is under maintenance.

An announced title may not yet be released. Netflix says it adds games to its available-games information once they are released, so check the catalogue rather than assuming an announcement means the game is already downloadable.
When a different device is actually necessary
Consider another phone or tablet only after checking the current device’s OS, the particular game’s requirements, the profile setting and the Netflix app version. If the device still fails the title’s compatibility requirements, a supported device may be needed to play it. Netflix’s troubleshooting guidance does not make buying a new device a first-line fix.
Netflix’s country lists, game catalogue, supported devices and OS requirements can change. Check the linked Help Center pages and the specific game listing for the latest information relevant to your country and device.
