Check the camera’s connection in the Blink app, then work through the network and power checks below. This meaning is documented for those Mini models; don’t assume the same LED code applies to every Blink camera.
What a blinking green light means
For Blink Mini, Mini 2, and Mini 2K+, a blinking green LED means the camera has fallen offline and is attempting to reconnect to its previous network, according to Blink’s Mini LED guide. It does not, by itself, mean the camera is recording or that it needs a replacement power adapter.

First confirm the model and the exact light pattern. Blink’s cited interpretation covers the three Mini models, not every camera in the Blink range. A solid green light paired with blinking blue is a different state: pairing mode.

How to troubleshoot the connection
- Check the camera in the Blink app. Open the camera’s device settings and inspect the network indicators. Blink recommends three bars for connectivity; fewer than three can be associated with intermittent performance. Where applicable, check both the camera’s Wi-Fi connection and its connection to the Sync Module. See Blink’s Wi-Fi troubleshooting guidance.
- Improve the weak link. If the app shows a weak camera-to-Sync-Module connection, move the camera closer to the Sync Module. If the Wi-Fi connection is weak, address coverage or router placement near the camera. A Wi-Fi extender is an optional consideration only when the app indicates weak Wi-Fi coverage; Blink’s cited guidance does not prescribe one as the standard fix.
- Restart the modem and router. Unplug them for 30 seconds, reconnect them, and wait two minutes for service to return before checking the camera again. These are Blink’s troubleshooting steps, not a guarantee that every offline camera will reconnect.
- Power-cycle a battery-powered camera. Remove its batteries for ten seconds, then reinsert them. Follow the power instructions for the specific model. Blink’s power guide says battery-powered cameras use AA 1.5-volt lithium non-rechargeable batteries; the Mini is USB-C powered. Third-party power solutions are unsupported. - Escalate if it remains offline. If the app’s connection checks and these recovery steps do not help, use Blink Support for model-specific troubleshooting. The green blink alone does not establish that the camera is defective.

| No LEDs | May indicate successful setup and connection or lack of power; check the app and power rather than treating darkness as a definite diagnosis. |
The Blink app can set the status LED on Mini, Mini 2, and Wired Floodlight to Always On, Always Off, or When Recording. Those settings change LED behavior; they do not restore a lost network connection. Details are in Blink’s LED settings guide.

On the covered Mini models, blinking green is documented as a network reconnection attempt. It is not evidence that a different adapter or other power accessory is needed. Use the model’s approved power method, and investigate power separately if the camera has no lights or shows another power-related symptom.
