Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallI built a browser-based toolbox for the small jobs developers repeatedly need to do: format JSON, encode or decode Base64, try SQL, and convert time values. The goal was to make those tasks convenient without making a remote service the place where a snippet has to be processed. “In-browser” describes where work can run; by itself, it does not prove what a particular site sends, stores, or loads.
Why bring these tools together?
When I need to inspect a JSON object, decode a string, test a query, or make sense of a timestamp, I want to get to the answer without setting up a full development environment. A single toolbox can make those quick tasks easier to reach.

There is another reason to prefer local processing when it is feasible: the input need not be sent to a remote processing service just to perform a simple transformation. That matters when a snippet contains internal identifiers, test data, or other information I would rather not hand to an unfamiliar endpoint. It is a useful design goal, not a blanket privacy guarantee.

What “100% in-browser” does—and does not—mean
A browser can execute JavaScript locally, so a web page can perform useful work on a device rather than submit every input for server-side processing. But the phrase “runs in the browser” only identifies an execution location. A page may still load code or other assets over the network, make requests for unrelated functions, or use browser storage. Without implementation and network evidence, it is not accurate to promise that a particular toolbox makes no requests or that data never leaves the device.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The practical privacy question is narrower and more useful: does the operation send the value being processed to a server? If that is established, say that the input is processed locally or is not uploaded for processing. Reserve “no network requests” for a verified claim covering the page’s relevant request paths, including dependencies and optional features.
Local execution also does not secure a compromised device, browser profile, or shared computer. MDN’s web privacy guidance discusses data minimization, secure transport and storage, and how browser-exposed capabilities can contribute to fingerprinting. A local tool can reduce one exposure—the transfer of an input to a processing service—but it cannot resolve every privacy risk around the browser or device.

Can SQL run in a browser?
Yes. SQLite can be compiled for browser use. The sql.js project documents a JavaScript library for running SQLite on the web, including a WebAssembly build that needs its separate WASM asset loaded. That shows browser SQL is technically possible; it does not establish that this toolbox uses sql.js or any particular implementation.

Memory and persistence are separate design choices. sql.js documents its virtual database as in-memory by default: changes do not persist automatically, though a database can be exported as a typed array. A toolbox should make clear whether a user’s work is discarded when the page closes, kept in browser storage, or available to export. Do not assume one behavior from the fact that SQL runs in a browser.

Base64 is not encryption
Base64 represents bytes using a text-safe encoding. It can make data easier to transmit or display in contexts that expect text, but it does not make the original value secret. Anyone who can decode the string can recover the represented data. Do not use Base64 to protect passwords, API keys, or other confidential values.
Encryption is a different operation that depends on cryptographic algorithms, keys, and sound handling of those keys. The Web Crypto API is low-level, and MDN warns: “It’s very easy to misuse them, and the pitfalls involved can be very subtle.” See MDN’s Web Crypto API documentation. A browser-based crypto feature is not automatically safe just because computation happens locally.

Local tools still need safe implementation
Running transformations on the client avoids one kind of server exposure, but it does not make unsafe code safe. For example, user-provided text should not be passed directly to eval as a shortcut for parsing or execution. OWASP’s Developer Guide warns against evaluating untrusted input and recommends proper JSON serialization for user-supplied data.
For anyone choosing a browser tool for sensitive snippets, the useful checks are concrete:

- Look for a clear explanation of whether inputs are processed locally or sent to a service.
- Check whether the tool describes storage, export, and clearing behavior.
- Consider whether third-party code or optional features are involved; “local processing” alone does not answer that question.
- Avoid using a shared or untrusted device for material that should remain confidential.
SQL for Files makes a similar distinction in its guide to private local data analysis in the browser: local processing does not replace device security, browser-profile hygiene, file controls, or organizational policies. That is a general caution, not an independent audit of this toolbox.
The point of the toolbox
JSON formatting, Base64 conversion, SQL experiments, and time conversion are useful browser tasks because they can be handled without automatically turning a quick local operation into a server-side one. The meaningful promise is the one an implementation can support: explain where processing happens, what requests and storage are used, and what happens to a user’s work. “In-browser” is a starting point for that explanation, not a substitute for it.
