What’s actually slowing this PC down?

A lag in Google Search Console’s Performance report is often normal: Google says collected data is usually available within 2–3 days, and the newest values may still be preliminary. Check the report’s last-updated date and whether its chart ends in a dotted line before treating recent counts as final. A delay by itself does not establish that a particular property is affected by an outage.
How to tell whether recent data is actually late
- Find the report’s last-updated date. It identifies the last date for which the report has any data; it is not a promise that every day through the present is complete. Google describes the normal publication cadence as 2–3 days, not a guarantee for every property or date. See Google’s guidance on Performance report data for Discover.
- Look at the end of the chart. Google marks preliminary data with a dotted line. Its values can change over the next few hours, so regard them as provisional rather than final. Google says the most recent two days may be preliminary. See Google’s Search results Performance report data guidance.
- Allow for normal publication latency. A report that has not yet filled in the newest dates may simply be within the usual interval. Compare the report’s dates with that 2–3-day cadence before concluding that reporting has stalled.
Why Search Console and another analytics tool may disagree
Daily reports can use different time zones
Most daily Performance report views use Pacific Time; the 24-hour view is an exception. If another analytics platform groups activity by a different time zone, the same visits or searches can fall on different calendar dates. Check both tools’ time zones and date boundaries before comparing daily totals. Google explains this behavior in its Discover Performance report data guidance.

Charts, tables and other platforms may aggregate data differently
A chart total need not match a table total or another platform’s count. Google notes that processing, privacy protections that hide some rare queries, incomplete table rows and differences in aggregation can all contribute to discrepancies. A mismatch alone is not proof that the report has stopped updating. See Google’s explanation of Search Console data.
If the site was just added to Search Console
If the property or site was only recently created or added, Google says it can take up to a week to generate data. Treat that as a conditional startup explanation, not a general delay estimate for established properties. Google’s Search Console data guidance describes this period.

When the delay may need further investigation
The normal cadence and preliminary-data behavior explain many apparent delays, but they do not determine the status of a particular property. To assess a potentially unusual case, note the affected dates, the report’s last-updated date, whether recent chart values are dotted, and whether the property is new. Without those details, it is not possible to distinguish an account-specific issue from ordinary reporting behavior. The report presents search performance data such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position; Google outlines its purpose in the Search results Performance report overview.
