He liked being able to adjust its clicks, but said his experience varied. That is one player’s preference—not proof that the Superstrike behaves inconsistently for everyone.
What yxngstxr said about the switch
In Jacob Fox’s PC Gamer report published September 25, 2026, Boije said he now uses the Superlight 2 after previously using the Superstrike. He described the latter as sometimes good but inconsistent, adding that he liked being able to control the clicks but sometimes did not like the experience at all.

Boije also relayed a teammate’s view that the Superstrike was overweight. He said he did not feel that weight issue himself, so it should not be mistaken for his stated reason for switching. The account points instead to his variable experience with the mouse overall and its clicks.

What makes the Superstrike different
The PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE uses Logitech’s Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS) in place of traditional microswitches. Logitech says players can tune actuation and rapid trigger reset points for the main buttons. The company advertises a click-latency reduction of up to 30 ms; that is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee that every player will click faster or perform better.
#1 Best Overall
- Better Performance: The Logitech Superlight 2, our championship winning wireless mouse gaming is now even better; with 8 kHz polling, USB-C charging, 95-hour battery life and POWERPLAY compatibility at 60 g
- Wireless Mouse for Gaming: A pro gaming icon—now faster and more precise; it is designed in collaboration with the world’s leading esports pros and engineered to win
- Most Advanced Optical Sensor in Gaming: HERO 2 with tracking over 888+ IPS, up to 44,000 DPI, precise sensor calibration with zero smoothing, acceleration or filtering with this gaming mouse
- Zero-Additive PTFE Mouse Feet: This superlight mouse glides smoothly with seamless connection to your game with Zero-additive PTFE mouse feet
- Pro Precision: LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches deliver pro-level precision and reliability with tactile click
Adjustability can be an advantage if its feel suits you, but it is not automatically a better fit. Boije’s account captures that trade-off: he valued click control, yet did not find the experience reliably pleasing.
How the two mice compare on reported specifications
Tom’s Guide’s February 10, 2026 hands-on review reports these maximum figures for the two models:
Rank #2

| Specification | PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE | PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 61 g | 60 g |
| Maximum polling rate | 8,000 Hz | 4,000 Hz |
| Maximum DPI | 44,000 | 32,000 |
These are specifications reported by Tom’s Guide, not evidence that the Superstrike will feel more consistent or deliver an advantage in every game. The review notes that casual gamers may not see a clear benefit from the Superstrike’s faster clicks. The one-gram weight difference is small on paper; specs alone do not tell you whether either mouse’s shape or balance will suit your hand.

Boije’s move is not evidence of a broad trend among professional players. Fox’s article also quotes Oscar “Azuwu” Bell recalling that m0NESY used a Superstrike before a major and returned to the Superlight for it. That is Bell’s recollection as reported by PC Gamer, not independently verified usage data. The article offers no adoption statistics or study showing that changing mice improves aim, reaction time, or tournament results.
Rank #3
- Fast and Precise Wireless Gaming Mouse: A pro gaming icon—now faster and more precise; it is designed in collaboration with the world’s leading esports pros and engineered to win
- Pro Precision: LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical switches enable pro-level precision, reliability and ultralow latency optical actuation with a crisp, tactile click
- Most Advanced Optical Sensor in Gaming: HERO 2 features tracking over 888+ IPS, up to 44,000 DPI and precise sensor calibration with zero smoothing, acceleration or filtering
- Better Performance: Our championship-winning, wireless mouse—made even better; now with 4K polling, USB-C charging, 95-hour battery life (3) and POWERPLAY compatibility all at 60g
- Zero-Additive PTFE Mouse Feet: Command a smooth glide and seamless connection to your game with Zero-additive PTFE mouse feet
Fox separately noted that the X2 felt front-weighted to him and that the X3 Superstrike’s balance was more central. Those are the reporter’s observations, not Boije’s explanation for leaving the X2. Logitech introduced the compact PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c in its September 17, 2025 announcement, but it is a different model from the Superlight 2 discussed in Boije’s switch story.

Start with how the mouse fits your hand and grip, then judge its click feel in actual use. Fox’s view is that shape is the leading consideration; adjustable clicks matter only if the resulting feel works for you.
Rank #4
- Next-gen 12,000 DPI HERO optical sensor delivers unrivaled gaming performance, accuracy and power efficiency
- Advanced LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mouse for super-fast 1 ms response time and faster than wired performance
- Ultra-long battery life gives you up to 250 hours of continuous gaming on a single AA battery
- Lightweight mechanical design and classic shape for maximum maneuverability, durability and comfort
- Compact, portable design with convenient built-in storage for included USB wireless receiver
- Choose the Superstrike if its tunable actuation and reset feel controllable and predictable to you.
- Prefer the Superlight 2 if its shape and familiar click feel work better for your hand and play.
- Treat maximum DPI, polling rate, and advertised latency reduction as specifications—not substitutes for personal fit or proof of better results.
There is no universal winner in Boije’s account. He found the Superstrike’s experience variable, while another player may value its adjustable clicks. His switch is a useful reminder to evaluate the feel you can reproduce comfortably, rather than assuming more click customization is automatically better.
