Hackster.io’s signup check verifies that your email address exists and can receive mail. According to the Hackster.io Help Center article published September 23, 2022, a failed check generally points to configuration on the email domain’s server rather than a problem Hackster can manually override.
What Hackster’s verification check is testing
During account creation, Hackster checks whether the address is valid and deliverable. If the check fails, Hackster says the cause is generally related to how the email domain’s server is configured.

The Help Center does not provide a list of specific error codes, a guaranteed DNS or mail-server change, or a promise that support can approve an exception. The right next step depends on whether you can administer the email domain.

1. Run the address through a validation service
Hackster recommends using an email validation service to obtain more diagnostic detail. Its article names Verifalia and Verify-email.org as examples, while explicitly stating that Hackster does not use those specific services and is referring to a similar type of service.

Use the result as troubleshooting information, not as proof that Hackster will accept the address. If the result identifies a mail-server or domain problem, continue with the appropriate path below.
2. If you administer the domain, investigate its mail configuration
Someone with the required administrator permissions may be able to use the validation result to investigate the domain’s server configuration. The Help Center does not prescribe a particular DNS record, mail protocol change, or repair, so apply only changes confirmed by your email administrator or provider.

3. If you do not administer the domain, contact the email provider
Send the provider the validation diagnostic and ask what options are available for making the address verifiable and deliverable. This is the appropriate route for a company, school, workplace, or hosted domain managed by someone else.

If validation and provider assistance do not resolve the issue, Hackster suggests creating a free Gmail account and using that address to sign up. The article presents Gmail as a fallback, not as a statement that it is the only email service Hackster accepts.

Why Hackster cannot simply skip the check
Hackster states: “Unfortunately, we are unable to bypass this step for security reasons.” Consequently, you should not expect customer support to disable the verification requirement or grant an exception solely because signup is blocked.
