The asset’s Owner is the default person responsible for correcting it. If the asset is shared with the team, a team Admin can also manage it. For a private asset, Tencent says only its Owner can read it, so team admins do not get access. What happens after an agent has already read the incorrect fact is less clear: the reviewed documentation does not specify whether edits trigger notifications or refresh an agent’s existing context.
How Tencent Team Memory organizes shared knowledge
TencentDB Agent Memory, described by its project as Team Memory, stores reusable knowledge as assets rather than as one shared prompt. The project names four asset types: Chat Memory for preferences, facts, decisions, and interaction history; Skill for reusable procedures; LLM-Wiki for structured documentation; and Code-Graph for code symbols, files, and relationships. The project describes these assets as reviewable, shareable, versioned, and assignable to agents. TencentDB Agent Memory’s official repository calls it a way to manage who can use knowledge, which version is valid, and which agent should receive it.

Each asset has controls and metadata such as ownership, version, status, visibility, usage counts, and agent bindings. These controls help teams govern the source of a fact, but they do not by themselves establish how quickly a correction reaches every agent that has used it.

Who can edit a wrong fact?
| Asset visibility | Who can manage it, according to Tencent | What that means for a correction |
|---|---|---|
| Private | The Owner. Tencent says a private asset is readable only by its Owner, including being unreadable to team admins. | The Owner must make the correction; a team Admin does not gain access simply by being an admin. |
| Team | The Owner or a team Admin. | Either can manage the shared asset and correct its source. |
| Restricted | Access is controlled by user, role, or agent ACLs. | Check the deployed asset’s actual permissions before deciding who can edit it. |
Tencent also says new Chat Memory and Skill assets are private by default, so sharing those types with a team is an explicit action. “Shared” therefore does not mean every teammate has editing authority; the visibility setting and access controls matter. Permissions can change across releases, so check the version deployed in your environment against the official project documentation.

Correcting the source is not the same as correcting every agent
The permission model identifies who can manage an asset. The reviewed official documentation does not specify whether changing that asset automatically invalidates cached copies, refreshes an agent’s current context, notifies agents or teammates, or updates agents that previously consumed the old fact. It also does not describe a formal process for resolving contradictions between two shared facts. That is a limit in what the documentation establishes—not proof that no implementation or later release supports those behaviors.
When two agents have used competing claims, do not assume the newest source edit automatically wins everywhere. Check which asset and version each agent is bound to, then verify the behavior in the deployed system. The project’s version, status, visibility, usage-count, and agent-binding controls can help with that investigation, but the reviewed material does not establish a full stale-reader or conflict-resolution workflow.

A practical correction checklist
This is a prudent team procedure, not a built-in Tencent workflow documented in the reviewed materials:

- Check its Owner and visibility. Use those details to determine whether the Owner, a team Admin, or someone authorized by a restricted ACL can manage it.
- Correct the source and check its version or status. Keep the authoritative asset clear rather than relying on a separate correction in an agent conversation.
- Review usage and agent bindings. Identify which agents are connected to the asset and, where available, inspect usage information to guide verification.
- Test downstream behavior. Ask affected agents or run the relevant workflow to confirm they use the corrected fact; do not treat a successful asset edit as proof that existing context has refreshed.
- Verify the deployed release. Consult the project’s current documentation and release notes for any newer details on refresh, notifications, or conflict handling.
What the documentation does—and does not—settle
Tencent’s documented permission model gives teams a clear starting point: the Owner is accountable for the asset, and a team Admin can manage an asset that is team-visible. Visibility and ACLs determine who else can act. The unresolved operational question is how a correction propagates to agents that already consumed the old fact, and how conflicting facts are reconciled. The reviewed documentation leaves those behaviors unspecified, so teams should verify them in the release they actually run.
