For an AI agent that needs to work with social accounts, the best-fit MCP server depends on the networks, publishing formats, workflow depth, and connection model you need. PostEverywhere documents broad network coverage and a locally run setup; 1Social emphasizes browser-based OAuth and per-network publishing outcomes; PostLake offers a hosted MCP endpoint with a wider set of workflow tools; and Breakreach is a candidate to investigate whose listed capabilities need further verification. These are documentation-based fits, not independently tested rankings.
What a social media MCP server does
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) gives a compatible AI client a standard way to connect to external tools and data. A social media MCP server exposes actions the client can invoke, such as listing connected accounts, drafting or scheduling posts, publishing to networks, and checking results. Some services also provide tools for comments, messages, media, moderation, or analytics. The exact actions depend on the service and the social-network APIs it supports. See the PostEverywhere project documentation, 1Social MCP documentation, and PostLake project documentation.

PostEverywhere describes an MCP server for scheduling and publishing across 12 platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord, and WordPress. Its project documentation includes local stdio installation instructions and API-key scopes for read, write, and AI actions, and points developers to a separate Node SDK for programmatic integrations. That makes it a candidate for users who want a locally run package and a broad list of supported networks.
#1 Best Overall
- Dual-Brain Hybrid Power: Combines the Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 MPU (Quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 @ 2.0 GHz CPU, Adreno GPU, AI acceleration) and the real-time, low-power STM32U585 MCU for advanced applications like object recognition, voice commands, and motion detection.
- AI & Linux Capabilities: Unlocks AI-powered vision and sound solutions; runs Linux Debian OS for coding in Python and supports the Arduino ecosystem with libraries and Sketches; quick start with Arduino App Lab.
- Advanced Features: Equipped with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32 GB eMMC built-in storage, ideal for single-board computer (SBC) mode, running multiple simultaneous high-level processes, more complex AI or ML models, extensive logs. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and high-speed headers for vision, audio, and display peripherals.
- Seamless Expansion & Connectivity: Features the classic UNO form factor for shields compatibility, an 8x13 LED matrix, and a Qwiic connector for easy expansion with Modulino nodes; power and connect via the USB-C connector.
- Intended Use & Development: The perfect platform for prototyping robotics or IoT projects, empowering innovators with a unified development experience to mix Arduino Sketches, Python scripts, and containerized AI models in a single interface.
Confirm that the exact account types, post formats, and actions you need are supported; a platform appearing on a list does not establish support for every publishing feature. The coverage and setup details are project claims, not independently tested results. See the PostEverywhere documentation.
2. 1Social: browser OAuth and network-by-network outcomes
1Social describes a browser-based OAuth connection flow. In its account of that flow, users do not paste an API key, and the agent does not see social-account credentials. Its documentation lists Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Threads, and Facebook.
The service says it can schedule up to 30 days ahead, check platform-specific character counts and media requirements, report success or failure for each network, and retry a failed destination without resending to destinations that already succeeded. Those details make it worth investigating when you need visibility into partial failures. Treat them as vendor descriptions until you test the service with your own accounts and post formats. See the 1Social MCP documentation.

- Advanced Features: Equipped with 2 GB LPDDR4 RAM, 16 GB eMMC built-in storage, ideal to develop in PC-connected mode, running the OS, Python scripts, and basic network services (SSH) without a demanding GUI or heavy multitasking; great for lightweight AI and memory-optimized TinyML applications, needing local storage for basic OS and core libraries. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and high-speed headers for vision, audio, and display peripherals.

3. PostLake: hosted MCP with broader workflow tools
PostLake documents a remote Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint with an OAuth browser approval flow; its README says an account owner can revoke an agent. It describes publishing, scheduling, monitoring, discovery, replies, moderation, and analytics across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, and Pinterest.
The project reports 63 focused tools spanning accounts, channel connections, planning, validation, publishing, media, inbox, and engagement. That is PostLake’s own tool count, not an independent measure of capability or quality. Its README also says every plan includes MCP access and advertises 20 free monthly credits; some publishing or network operations consume credits. Check current rates, credit rules, and other limits on the service’s pricing page before choosing. See the PostLake project documentation.
4. Breakreach: a candidate whose details need confirmation
Breakreach’s product page describes a hosted MCP service for publishing, scheduling, comments, direct messages, and analytics across multiple social networks. It describes OAuth in some client setups and API-key instructions in others. These statements were not corroborated by opened primary technical documentation or independent tests, so treat Breakreach as a lead to investigate rather than a substantiated winner. Verify network-by-network capabilities, authentication for your client, pricing, and current availability directly on its product page.

How to choose the right MCP server
Check the formats and account types you actually use
Start with the networks that matter, then verify the specific actions, account types, and formats you need. Support for a network name does not necessarily mean support for short video, carousels, company pages, or every publishing action. Check current documentation and test the connection with the accounts you intend to use.
Match workflow depth to the job
Basic publishing and scheduling are different from inbox management, moderation, analytics, discovery, and replies. If your workflow needs more than posting, check that those tools are explicitly documented. Also look for validation before publishing and destination-specific outcomes afterward; those help distinguish a rejected or failed post from one that reached only part of a cross-posting queue.
Choose a connection model you can control
Local stdio installation, a hosted remote endpoint, API keys, and OAuth each involve different setup and credential-management choices. Check what permissions a connection grants, whether a person approves access, and how to revoke an agent. PostEverywhere documents a local setup and scoped API keys; 1Social describes browser OAuth; PostLake documents hosted HTTP with OAuth approval and account-owner revocation.

Look for useful failure reporting, not unverified reliability claims
A service that reports outcomes by destination and explains failures can make partial publishing problems easier to spot. Do not treat vendor descriptions as proof of uptime, delivery rates, or comparative reliability: no independent comparative testing is established for these four options. Before relying on a workflow, test a draft and then a low-risk post in your own environment.
Confirm current costs and constraints
Before connecting accounts, verify current plan prices, connected-account limits, credit costs, trial terms, and network restrictions. Pricing and platform APIs can change, and the available documentation does not establish a stable, comparable price table for these candidates.
