Choose based on local prices, the exact configuration available, and which features matter most.

Price: compare like for like in your country
There is no current, equivalent-market price comparison established here. Samsung Newsroom Korea announced local Galaxy A37 availability from June 19, 2026 at a Korean launch price of ₩598,400. That is a Korea-specific launch price, not a current worldwide price. Samsung India lists an 8GB/256GB model and gives March 25, 2026 as its launch date, but the cited page does not establish a current selling price.

Display: both list a high-refresh AMOLED screen
Samsung’s Korean announcement specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. realme India lists an AMOLED panel at 2372 × 1080 pixels, also up to 120Hz. Both specifications support a comparison on panel type, resolution and refresh rate, but they do not establish which screen looks brighter or better in everyday use. Brightness figures need to be interpreted under comparable manufacturer test conditions, and the cited material does not provide a controlled side-by-side assessment.
Performance and storage: processor names are not a verdict
realme India identifies the Dimensity 6400 Turbo, along with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The Exynos 1480 designation for the Galaxy A37 comes from 91mobiles in the available comparison, rather than a primary Samsung source cited here. A comparison-page benchmark result is not enough to promise faster everyday performance: its test method has not been independently validated here, and there was no hands-on testing for this comparison.

If you are choosing between the India-listed 8GB/256GB versions, storage capacity is matched on paper. The realme 16 also has listed 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB options, so confirm which configuration a seller is offering rather than assuming every market carries the same lineup.

Samsung’s Korean announcement lists a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 5MP macro rear-camera array. realme India lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome rear camera, plus a 50MP front camera. Samsung’s cited announcement does not state a front-camera specification.

The extra ultrawide and macro cameras give the A37 more listed rear-camera types; realme’s listed front camera has a higher stated resolution than any front-camera figure available for this Samsung comparison. Neither distinction proves which phone takes better photos. Megapixels and lens counts do not replace image samples or controlled testing, so there is not enough evidence here to declare a camera winner.
Battery: realme’s capacity and charging figures are the clearer specification
realme India specifies a 7,000mAh typical battery (6,830mAh rated) and 60W fast charging. The cited Samsung materials do not provide a primary-source Galaxy A37 battery capacity or charging figure. That leaves realme with more clearly documented battery specifications in this comparison, but it does not establish a real-world endurance advantage: usage, settings and test conditions affect battery life.

Software support and regional details
91mobiles reports six years of OS and security updates for the Galaxy A37, and three OS-update years plus four security-update years for the realme 16. These are secondary-source claims; the precise terms, start dates and update scope are not confirmed here against primary manufacturer support statements. If long-term updates are a deciding factor, verify the commitment for the exact model and market with the manufacturer before buying.

Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the realme 16 if you are comparing the India-listed model and value its published 7,000mAh typical battery, 60W charging, 50MP front camera, or choice of storage configurations.
- Consider the Galaxy A37 if its listed 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, ultrawide and macro rear cameras, or a locally verified price and support commitment suit your needs better.
- Before choosing either, compare the exact configuration and live price in your country. The available facts do not establish a universal price, camera, performance or battery-life winner.
