VideoOnRepeat is one option for repeating an existing YouTube video without uploading it again. It says you can paste a YouTube link and choose either to repeat the full video or loop a selected section. For a full-video loop on a page you control, YouTube’s embedded-player parameters can also do the job without a separate looping service.
Which service should you use?
VideoOnRepeat for a repeat interface or section loop
VideoOnRepeat describes a browser-based player that accepts a YouTube URL or lets you search YouTube. Its stated features include full-video repeat, A–B section looping, playback-speed controls, shareable loop URLs, and a queue for multiple videos. The service says playback uses YouTube’s standard embedded player and that it does not download or store videos on its servers. These are the service’s own descriptions, not an independent test.

YouTube’s player parameters for a full-video loop on your own page
If you are embedding a video in a webpage you control, YouTube’s developer documentation describes a single-video loop using the player parameters loop=1 and playlist set to the same video ID. This is an official alternative to a third-party looping site, but it requires an embedded-player context and compliance with YouTube’s player rules.

YTLooper as another section-loop option
YTLooper’s terms describe looping selected video sections and generating shareable URLs. Its terms also say video availability depends on YouTube and may change. Treat that as a service-stated alternative, not a guarantee that a particular video will play.
How to loop a video without uploading it again
With VideoOnRepeat
- Copy the YouTube video URL.
- Open VideoOnRepeat and paste the URL, or search for the video in the service.
- Choose full-video repeat, or set the start and end points for an A–B section loop.
- Use its playback controls as needed. If you want to share the loop, the service says it can generate a shareable loop URL.
With YouTube’s embedded player on your webpage
- Get the video ID from the YouTube URL.
- Embed the video using YouTube’s player in an enclosing webpage.
- Set
loop=1and setplaylistto that same video ID. - Load the webpage and check that the embedded player can play the video. Do not assume a raw player URL opened by itself will behave like a properly embedded player.
Why a video might not play on a looping site
These services rely on YouTube playback rather than a separate copy of the video. YouTube’s restrictions therefore still apply.

- Embedding is disabled: an uploader can turn off embedding, which can prevent playback on a third-party site.
- The video is age-restricted: YouTube says age-restricted videos generally cannot be watched on most third-party websites and may redirect viewers to YouTube.
- The player is opened outside an embedding context: YouTube says its embedded player is intended to run inside an enclosing webpage. Playback may be blocked when the HTTP Referer is missing.
- Availability changes: YTLooper’s terms place video availability under YouTube’s control, so a video that was available through a service may not remain so.
If playback fails, try the video directly on YouTube first. If it plays there but not in the looping service, check whether embedding is allowed and use the service in its intended webpage context. A restriction on the video itself cannot be fixed by reuploading it to a looping tool.
Looping for viewing is different from running a 24/7 live channel
VideoOnRepeat, YTLooper, and YouTube’s embed parameters control playback for someone watching a video; they do not turn that playback into a continuous YouTube live stream.
