Which Restaurant Website Builder Should You Choose in 2026? 10 Options Compared

The right restaurant website builder depends on whether you need a DIY site, online ordering, reservations, POS integration, or a managed service. Compare ten options and the costs to check.

There is no single best restaurant website builder for every business. The right choice depends on whether you need a polished information site, direct online ordering, reservations, a website tied to your existing point-of-sale system (POS), or a managed marketing and commerce service. These ten options cover those different jobs; they are not ranked from a shared hands-on test.

How to choose a restaurant website builder

Start with the job the website must do, then check how each platform handles the workflows that matter. A restaurant that mainly needs a menu, hours, location, and brand presence may prefer a flexible do-it-yourself builder. A restaurant seeking online orders, reservation management, or POS-connected menus should verify those features and their costs before choosing.

  • Menu: Can staff update prices, availability, and menu sections without rebuilding pages?
  • Ordering and reservations: Are these native features, or do they depend on a separate integration or subscription?
  • POS fit: Does the service connect to the POS you already use, and what information actually syncs?
  • Setup model: Is it self-service, managed for you, or bundled with a POS package?
  • Total cost: Include the website plan, setup or contract charges, order fees, and payment processing—not just the advertised monthly rate.
  • Growth and usability: Check location limits, mobile presentation, editing access, and whether the site remains practical as your menu and operations change.

Product features and plan terms can vary by country and change over time. Verify current availability, fees, and eligibility with the provider before committing.

10 restaurant website builder options

1. Wix: a flexible DIY site with restaurant tools

Wix’s restaurant offering documents templates, menu creation, online ordering, reservations, and SEO features. It is a candidate for operators who want to build and manage a branded site themselves while keeping restaurant functions in the same platform. Wix describes its online ordering as commission-free; that does not establish that payment processing is free. Confirm which plan includes the checkout features you need and account for processing charges. Wix restaurant website builder

2. Squarespace: design-led sites with integrations for transactions

Squarespace documents restaurant templates and menu blocks, with integrations including OpenTable, Tock, and ChowNow. It can suit a restaurant prioritizing visual presentation, but ordering and reservation workflows may depend on third-party services rather than being built into the site. Menu blocks and commerce features are premium features, and Tock has a separate subscription. Check current plan eligibility and integration terms. Squarespace restaurant site documentation

3. Toast Websites: a possible fit for existing Toast POS users

A September 2026 comparison describes Toast Websites as bundled with Toast POS plans, making it worth considering for restaurants already operating in that ecosystem. Treat bundle and price details as a snapshot, not a guarantee: ask Toast what the current package includes, whether hardware is required, and what contract terms apply. Toast Websites

4. Square Online: online ordering in the Square ecosystem

Square Online is a candidate for restaurants already using Square that want to add an online ordering surface. A September 2026 comparison describes free-to-start and paid options, but a free starting tier does not mean transactions have no cost. Confirm local plan availability, processing rates, and which ordering features are included. Square Online

5. Owner.com: managed direct-ordering and marketing package

A September 2026 comparison positions Owner.com as a managed direct-order, app, and marketing package. It reports a monthly-plus-order-fee option and a flat-price option, but those are secondary-source snapshots. Ask the provider to confirm current fees, contract terms, included services, and eligibility for your restaurant.

6. Popmenu: managed website, menu SEO, and marketing

Popmenu is positioned in a September 2026 comparison as a managed service combining a restaurant website, menu SEO, and marketing. This may be useful if you want more than a DIY site, but the comparison’s prices are snapshots rather than guaranteed offers. Get a current quote and clarify the deliverables and term before signing.

7. BentoBox: managed restaurant website and commerce

Comparison sources describe BentoBox as a managed restaurant website and commerce platform. At least one comparison does not publish a website price, so request a quote that spells out the package scope, integrations, and any additional charges rather than assuming a standard plan.

8. SpotHopper: managed site and marketing services

A September 2026 comparison describes SpotHopper as a managed website, social, and email solution and says it does not publish a price. Consider it if you want a service-led approach, then verify what work is handled for you, what remains in your hands, and the full contract cost.

9. UpMenu: restaurant-oriented ordering and reservations

An August 2026 vendor-authored roundup identifies UpMenu as a restaurant platform with online ordering and reservations. Those features make it a candidate for operators looking for restaurant-specific workflows; check current plan availability, processing and order fees, and regional support directly with the provider.

10. Menubly: menu-focused website option

Compare the business model, not just the website

The options fall into three broad groups. General DIY platforms give an operator more direct control over pages and presentation, but some transaction functions rely on integrations. POS-linked offerings may make sense when they fit the system already in use, though package and processing terms still matter. Managed restaurant platforms can include marketing or commerce work beyond the site itself, so compare the service scope and contract—not just a feature checklist.

Published comparison prices illustrate why headline numbers are hard to compare. A September 8, 2026 comparison reported Owner.com examples of $249 per month plus 5% per order or $499 per month flat; Popmenu examples of $159, $269, or $449 per month; Toast Websites at $0–$69 per month plus hardware; Square Online at free, $49, or $149 monthly tiers plus processing; Squarespace at $19–$99 per month on annual billing; and Wix from a free plan to $17–$159 per month on yearly billing. It reported no published website price for BentoBox or SpotHopper. These are secondary-source snapshots, not a complete official price audit or guaranteed current offers. A separate August 26, 2026 vendor-authored roundup said UpMenu started at $49 per month and Menubly was $9.99 per month after a 30-day trial; verify those claims and current terms with the providers.

For any quote or plan, establish the billing country and cadence, payment-processing rates, per-order charges, setup or hardware costs, contract length, and whether the listed features cover every location you operate. A lower monthly fee may not be the lower-cost choice if ordering fees or required add-ons change the total.

Match the platform to your restaurant’s priority

  • You want to manage a flexible branded site yourself: Start by comparing Wix and Squarespace. Check which ordering and booking workflows are native and which require integrations.
  • Your restaurant already depends on a POS: Investigate Toast Websites if you use Toast or Square Online if you use Square, then confirm the actual package, sync behavior, and transaction costs.
  • You want a managed service: Compare Owner.com, Popmenu, BentoBox, and SpotHopper on deliverables, contract, and total cost. Their fit descriptions come from comparison sources, so confirm the details directly.
  • You need restaurant-specific ordering or reservations: Include UpMenu in the shortlist and verify feature and region availability. Menubly may merit a look if a menu-led site is the main need, but validate what ordering costs.

Questions to ask before signing

  1. What does the quoted price include? Ask for the recurring subscription, setup fees, hardware, implementation, and contract term in writing.
  2. What does online ordering cost? Separate platform charges, per-order fees, payment processing, delivery arrangements, and any optional services.
  3. How does the POS connection work? Confirm compatibility with your exact system and whether menu changes, prices, availability, and orders sync automatically or require manual work.
  4. Which features require an upgrade or another subscription? Check ordering, reservations, menu tools, and integrations against the plan being quoted.
  5. Can you manage the site day to day? Confirm who can make edits, how menu changes are handled, and what support is available when something goes wrong.
  6. Does the service support your locations and market? Confirm geographic availability, number of locations, local payment methods, and any regional restrictions.

What the available comparisons can—and cannot—tell you

The cited 2026 comparisons offer useful candidates and product-fit descriptions, but they do not document a shared independent test of ten equivalent services. Some are vendor-authored, and one comparison includes its publisher’s own service. Treat their rankings and pricing as leads to verify, not as proof of a universal winner or a standardized performance result. Official Wix and Squarespace documentation supports the feature descriptions above; the detailed price and fit snapshots for other entries should be confirmed with each provider.
